Her hair is thick and beautiful in it's natural state. If she goes here all the time to get her hair done and it's still that think and beautiful, the stylist knows what she's doing.
I used to go to a Dominican shop one a week and my hair literally thinned out like paper ! As a result I went natural and started all over again. ..nurturing my hair at home for a few years, now my hair is below bra strap length.
Mary Hawkins her hair looked lackluster at the end. The blowout was gorgeous, and should have been left alone rather than the damaged look of the end result
ComplexElegance thank you so much for your comment! I have been doing hair for quite a while and when to beauty school to get license to do hair! Not every Dominican salon has the same principles and ethics as not all salons in the United State do. At my salon is prohibited to talk bad about our customers hair. If our customers come for a service is our job to get it stay and bouncy and detangled the hair as well. It can’t be possible to put relaxer into a shampoo due to the relaxer it’s deactivated with the shampoo so please get your facts together. Thank you
I like the results. I see why you go over so many times, the style must last!! Or else it'll be frizzy in a week. I had the whole salon smoked 😂 but my blow out lasted almost a month no damage, what heat protectant do you use on her hair?
Hi marlyn , male Puerto Rican from bklyn ny. I’ve been using all different types of treatments for our hair types. I must say I love the way Dominican people blow hair out. Are use a lot of salerm cosmetics, such as wheat germ hair mask and under heat for about 20 minutes after milk shampoo with a little bit of it’s a 10 with keratin sprays makes a big difference. Absolutely love it. And also have the Collection of the cricket technique ceramic bristle round brushes. Wouldn’t blow hair out without them. And I learned for Dominicans how to do hair as well and yes. I’m boricua lol! It’s all good! Wonderful job! Looks beautiful! God bless!
Staten’s Scratcher hooray! I’m glad you have learned from us! Is a complement. I love salerm cosmetics and can’t live without my cricket round brush. They are affordable and the best I have found. Some of my stylists just the rusk finishing brush! I prefer the Sam Villa!
Marlyn Cruz I so agree with you! 15 years in the Cosmetology industry! All my clients call me “ papi shampoo” lol it’s so funny. I love my Career and all my beautiful Dominicans who I’ve watched and mastered the Dominican blow out Technique! A good round brush, and a good treatment with a twin turbo blower and ur all set! Lol
Marlyn Cruz oh man 😢 ; any recommendations ? I feel like I’ve been going to the wrong Puerto Rican’s and Dominicans for giving me the perfect blow out and press for my natural hair
To me this method is best I just got mines done in Atlanta and love it my hair is gorgeous & healthy no damage at all 🤷🏾♀️ most naturals hate this method but to be honest it’s more heat being used when u sit under dryer just to get blow dried still then flat ironed 🤷🏾♀️
Brittany Alexander thank you so much for your wonderful feedback, I appreciate it! This customer has been coming to me for years and you see she has a head full of Curly hair! No heat damage here!
Sitting under the dryer isn't direct heat and is better for your hair, and once you get to the flat iron part you can use less heat/low temperature. Direct heat will eventually give you heat damage, I thought they did roller sets first?
Dira501 any type of heat eventually will give you heat damage it all depends on your curl texture! I’m Natural myself and if I do straight Blowout after my 4th straight blowout my curl texture changes! I only do roller set and blowout my roots to keep my natural curls! Also not every texture of curls can be roller set. Also if you seat under the dryer there is no way you can straighten your hair with low heat temperatures! I have been doing hair for 20 years
@@carlin721 I do not believe that to be true, I have a steam flat iron ( keeps the moisture on the hair strands) that I used up until it broke', got a better blow dryer and never got heat damage. I also changed my hair products (deep conditioning,) and my curl pattern did not change, maybe you need to change your hair products and/or tools. Now that I have a regular flat iron, I try not to straighten my hair as often. There are stylists here on RU-vid that roller set hair and then use a lower temperature with the flat iron and the hair is bone straight and silky. Why can't you roller set every texture of hair, that is news to me?!
There's no more heat when you sit under the dryer than Blow drying & Flat ironing. A Hood dryer provides indirect heat which does Not damage the hair like Blow dryer & Flat Irons do. It dries the Hair from the inside out. Most Naturals who experience heat damaged got it from Blow Dryers & Flat Irons Not Hood dryers. Your statement is Incorrect. This Stylist prepared her Client's hair to protect it from any heat damage and moved quickly & professionally. When you go to Stylist who knows what the heck they're doing like this one and the one you went to, there won't be any heat damage.
Hi Marlyn VIP Dominican Beauty Salon! Your video is tagged Comedy for Category. You may get more exposure if you tag it in Beauty or something that deals with Hair, Beauty, Natural Hair, Cosmetology!
Wanda Mapp i used the Brazilian Blowout thermal protection. Is recommended to wrap your hair everyday for a longer extended of your blowout and for a Silky look! Thank you for your questions I hope it helps you!
Wanda Mapp it depends in how well you keep it from moisture I have customer that come every two weeks and other I recommend to come once a month others come every six weeks. Depending on how you like your hair. Of course they wash in between and wear it natural!

Music sounds SO FAMILIAR. Not sure if it’s a ringtone on iPhone or some alarm, but man, I heard it somewhere? Maybe app on my phone or a commercial? I dunno. It’s bothering that I can’t remember. Anyway nice job on hair.
Whats the point of a flat iron if you can get this straight with a blow dryer? If I can get my hair this straight with a blow dryer, I would probably never use my flat iron
@@WATCHWOMAN65 well I guess everyone's hair is different. Because when I finally put heat in my hair. I got a blow dryer to it then the flat iron. I wanted It bone straight.
hello love your beautiful videos very nice hairstylist please kindly film how you do your own hair using the hair rollers please ok?please kindly reply back ok?thank you very much
I just cannot get the ends of my hair as smooth. From the roots down till about 1 inch from the bottom I can blowdry by hair bone straight but the ends just do not want to comply. Do you have any tips?
I like how she’s straightening her hair ,I would like my mom to try this for me and my little sister instead using the dumb hot comb , me and my sister hate it so much🙄🙄🙄
Hi love , I used the Pibbs TTEC8012 Twin Turbo 3800 Professional Ionic and Ceramic Hair Dryer, Black, 2100 Watt www.amazon.com/dp/B0057HQ6C2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_-xu2FbRYYDQDQ
Lived in FL 5 yrs and Dominicans HATE to be mistaken for a Puerto Rican as well as Puerto Rican’s HATE to be mistaken as Dominicans... never understood why but anyho🤣 the Dominicans hair is like ours👍🏾👍🏾Haitian/Dominicans Share island(s)
It’s just a nationality proud thing . Caribbean’s are the same way . If they’re going to be called something they want to be approached how they are not what they look like or seems like . Yea they’re all Latina Latino but they like to be called what they are . It’s not that they don’t really like them . It’s because anyone would not like the be mistaken for another if they’re not . Especially when it happens often because people aren’t as familiar with the cultural differences .
Tishawna Thompson good afternoon, I used the twin turbo 3800. You can purchase in amazon Twin Turbo Information to find it! 3800 Ionic & Ceramic 2100 Watt Hair Dryer, Features a Nickel Chrome Heating Element and Safety Thermostat Hope this can help.
Shireen Christopher yes it doesn’t you have to be careful how you use it. Never applied the heat stayed at the hair it can damage the hair. I have customer that I used it at medium heat.
Hair by Marlyn perfect my friend went to hair school and her blow dryer made my hair look I got a perm but it also burnt out the hair that was already damaged so I kind of figured out. Thanks soo much
Shireen Christopher always you have to be careful with the way the heat is applied to the hair! This customer comes to the salon every month and you se her curls are still there. Apply jamaica black castor oil with coconut oil and braided it down to make you hair recuperate from the heat!
Went over too many times. Those flat irons are powerful you only need once. My Dominican stylist after blow drying goes over my hair once and quick and smooth. She doesn’t hold it on the hair slowly which can damage my hair. Guess everyone is different
destiny reed thank you love for your feedback. This customer does get her hair done regular. Due to this her hair is extremely dry a brittle. If I only pass the flat iron once she will return the next day because her hair puff up. She is also constantly putting bleach and box dye. Hair hair is not damage by the heat. Thank you 😊 I appreciate your feedback
Her hair is so flattened out she has no body to her hair at all and you ain’t going to add none by keep using that comb it’s not styling the hair like it should there’s no body to it
+Talia Jackson dear I have been doing hair for over 10 years every hair is different! Her hair is very dry due to her wetting her hair daily with out any moisturizing. It felt very Dry so please don’t tell me I need training if I know how my customer hair is Style! I have been doing her hair for a while and she still comes to me so please let me work how I work! I appreciate your concern!
