Helen Brach was a lonely rich widow and she was enjoying Bailey's company. $90K was chickenfeed to her so she probably would have turned a blind eye to that. I don't see any reason for him to kill her. But that houseman and her brother. . .VERY shady!
She gave him the money and bought the horses. So that does not add up. It is wrong that her body is not buried with her husband. Her brother knows where her body is and yet hasn't allowed for her to buried. Greed of both of them
Bailey seems the least likely suspect. Helen was worth much more alive than dead to him. She didn't object to his horse scam. He didn't murder any of the women he conned and who sued him and Helen wasn't suing him. Helen's brother and the chauffeur burned her effects and the chauffeur was caught in numerous lies after her disappearance.
I don't understand the justice system why they did let go of the butler and the brother.. they burned all the evidence.. Obviously, if they will reopen the case they will catch the killer. but unfortunately, the prosecutor concentrated on the wrong person..
Killing beautiful animals is sickening. To kill a horse because it was better suited to another rider or trainer shows what a psychopath the rich boy was. I was a trainer & these animals are so loyal & beautiful. They will kill themselves trying to work for you. They communicate by hip shoulder & eye movement. If you stay still enough, a horse will come up to you out of curiosity. They are misunderstood creatures. The men that mentored me as a trainer would never hurt a horse. They could of sold the horses for more than the insurance. Too bad they don't treat horse thieves like they did in the old west, when they hung them. Sick evil people. Now I understand why they showed the awful scene in the Godfather. Of course hurting animals & going to people is nothing for these sicko's. Her houseman & brother definitely were involved in dirty work, but I don't feel bad for the con men in prison.

it was the house man the playboy only was scamming her out of her riches but she knew better. She was a cougar and was just paying him like a male escort. I do however think she was killed by the other fraudulent wealthy man because she was going to turn him in for animal torture. He hired the house man as the gunman and possibly payed this his greedy arse a small fortune. She had the power to possibly shut him down. I think playboy bailif maybe mouthed off to other horse killers and the word got around to the other rich man. He concocked a scheme to have her dissapear. Bailif was prosecuted on zero forensic but hearsay and his womanizing ways which is wrong but he didn't benefit from her death so ??? why would he resource to killing her.
The house man had money coming in from the other rich man and possibly was looking to milk her money little by little but he didn't realized she would be reported as missing so his scheme was up.

i agree i think it may be matlick who done it i cant see why police didnt see him as main suspect he certainly acted like he done it and did lie maybe they couldnt win a case against him but could indite the con man its hard to judge but anyway the con man was truely a crook so at least hes bending over in prison
