I wish we could have seen the communication between the Cardassian ship captains when they found out the Dominion was bombing cities on their homeworld and decided enough was enough.
Marc Alaimo (rightfully) gets a lot of props for his portrayal of Dukat, but let's give some love to Casey Biggs as Damar. His arc, from Dukat's right-hand man to disillusioned drunk to revolutionary hero is remarkable at every turn. His "how can we fail?" response here and his "resist today, resist tomorrow" speech are something we would never expect from a Cardassian: inspirational.
"With men like you by our side, how can we fail!" - damar. Hearing him say that always fills me with emotion. Gods, I'm such a sucker for corny scifi writing!
I love that Garak's last words were going to be "how disappointing." I didn't catch that until now, but those'll probably be his last words when he later dies of space cancer, too.
For me the most impressive actor/actress was Salome Jens. Her portrayal as the female changeling was superb. She also played an alien in Voyager where she again, rocked it. She's a great actress.
It is so satisfying to see the Galaxy class ships in fleet formations. They are majestic and beautiful, but deadly at the same time after their Dominion War upgrades. Definitely the most beautiful Star Trek ship ever!
