@Timlagor Glad you found it helpful. It's true Ulm lacks the astral mages to easily do communions, but there are trinkets that allow the wielder to act as either a communion slave or master. If you get a few astral random master smiths you can make them for an astral gem and earth gem a piece! If that happens during the tutorial I'll go over it then, but I'll still make a dedicated communion/sabbath/spellsinging video
So the easiest way is to cast the communion/sabbath master and slave spells at thaumaturgy or blood 1 respectively, so every blood or astral mage can enter a communion or sabbath. With Agartha it's trickier, EA and MA don't have any native astral access which makes things obviously harder but on the LA, which I'm assuming you're playing but correct me if I'm wrong, you at least have astral randoms from your Servant of the Oracles or Ktonian Necromancers. If you want to add non astral mages into your communion, your best bet is to use Sky Metal Matrixes to make them communion masters, same with adding more slaves with slave matrixes. You can craft them as LA Agartha by giving your astral randoms earth boots to get them to earth level 2 and then either trading or using your pretender to make an astral booster or by empowering one of your astral randoms to astral 2. When it comes to casting Army of Gold, you can use one of your base Ktonian Necromancers (or if you're playing another age one of your big earth casters) give them earth boots for +1 earth magic so they're earth 3, summon earthpower at conjuration 3 to make them earth 4 for the battle. Now you've got a choice, if they're an astral random you can use power of the spheres to boost their magic in all paths by +1 which would bring you to earth 5, or give them another gem on top of the 3 for army of gold for them to use to temporarily make them earth 5 while casting it. That's probably easier than using a communion though you do need to watch out for fatigue for your caster. So if you right click on a commander to open up their detailed look, underneath their stats you'll have their equipment slots, to the right of those you'll see a long bar which when you hover over it will say personal magic gems. Clicking on that you'll be able to transfer gems from other commanders to them, or if they are in a province with a laboratory they can access your global gem pool. Left clicking on the 0 under them for a gem type will give them one of those gems for you to use. Hopefully this was helpful and thanks for watching!
I'm a little confused what you mean by the question. Do you mean the bless on a sacred? If so that's determined at pretender design with your bless effects, though you can gain more bless effects from some thrones of ascension. If you mean leveling up their magical paths like air or water for example, then you can do that by crafting boosters that you unlock through construction school research which boost their magic path while they hold them, or by empowering them, where you use a bunch of gems to level that commander up in that school of magic permanently. Additionally in battle you can give your mages a gem for them to use while casting spells, which will increase their level in that magic path by 1 for that spell
Hold on a moment. The hammer is a weapon, correct? Doesn't that mean that if a character can wield multiple weapons, they can also decrease the cost even firther?
Unfortunately not, because it's the same item you only get the benefits once from having them equipped rather than twice, this is the same for all items, though if different items have the same benefit, something like a resistance, then they will stack. As fun as duel wielding smiths would be!
@@ChazzyBurger ohhh I see So that means if I have a pretender that can equip multiple items (I had that weird Chinese statue with multiple heads and arms) then I need to use different equipment if I want to stack non damage effects
