Domino Line is my favourite song of CASIOPEA and I love it to see this video so much. Is incredible how people can create music like. I loved the work you did in this video and please keep going. Love from Portugal!!
Wow, you really nailed this, thank you so much for sharing!✨ You really make the BB2000 shine, seeing how you perform this really inspires me that I should try to learn the solo too. It really is a joy to see you play!🔥👍 Casiopea came into my life almost 40 years ago and the Mint Jams album has a lot to do with why I started playing the bass. Later on the Perfect Live album as well, and of course also the studio albums available around that time. We had one record store in the north of Sweden that actually imported Casiopea albums direct from Japan - the albums were expensive but mind blowingly awesome! I have a BB3000 and BB2000 still since the 80’s, much in honor and inspiration from Sakurai-San. Subscribing of course, very best wishes from Sweden!✨👍
First of all, thank you for watching, commenting and subscribing❗️🙏😊 I share your reasons for owning BB2000 and BB3000😆 I don't have a BB3000, though😝 Same for me, listening to this album is what got me started on bass😙 Come visit us again😊 Thank you👋
Hello From Indonesia ! The Bass sound is very clear, and the video is very high quality indeed, hats off to you sir. We all know that the solo part is very hard, i can see you struggling to catch the tempo, but Mr. Sakurai Tetsuo's playing is very hard to replicate at his prime and i can understand... Thank you for your hard work making this cover video. Much love from Indonesia.
Welcome to Japan❗️😊 I tried to record this song four times to present it today!😳 There was one phrase that I just couldn't get through, but I ran out of energy!😫 Thanks for watching❗️🙏😊 And I'll keep playing!💪 Thank you so much❗️😊
For the bass solo’s fastest parts do you use the double thumb method (down thump, up pluck with the thumb) or did you just have to use brute force to keep the speed. I’ve tried multiple times but I can never seem to get the triplet right at that speed. I may need get stronger😅.
Thank you for watching and commenting❗️🙏😊 I believe Mr. Sakurai did not use thumbs up at that time.🤔 I can't play well either, but I wanted to express the same technique as he did.😙 When I improve, I would like to try again.🫡 Thank you so much🙏😊
Thank you for watching and commenting❗️🙏😊 I first encountered this song 40 years ago🙄 It was also around that time that I got my first bass😳 This is the first song I played on that bass😅 I don't remember when I perfected my current style😆
Wow, you’re really got it! Tone is right on too! I’ve been trying to model my BB2000’s tone after this album. Are you running any effects or have you changed the pickup height? I got my tone to growl like in the album by lowering the J pickup quite a bit. Did you do that as well? Awesome job!
Thank you for watching and commenting❗️🙏😊 BB2000 is a jarring horse😆 Peaky and boomy easily😅 I've adjusted the pickup height so many times I don't remember the standard height, but it's probably low😌 I adjust the effects with the mic preamp and mix the chorus with the effects on the mixer🤭 I've heard Sakurai-san modifies the pickup select to a balancer, but I haven't gone that far🙄
@@k-taro-bass ah that makes sense! I always felt he was using some chorus in this album, but when I use it I can’t quite pin it down. It sounds over-done. A pickup pan knob would definitely make it easy to favor the P pickup as his tone shows in this song. Yeah, BB2000 is quite a beast to tame!? Rehearsing with mine last night, after owning mine for a year I finally found a comfortable position where I can reach the first fret comfortably! Lol worth the discomfort for the tone though!
The current BB seems to be active, so I'm considering putting a preamp on it too🙄 The way I use the chorus is controlled by the mixer at a ratio of about 70:30 for the original sound and 30 for the effects😙 I used to use a TRB6II, but I knew the fretboard was too wide, so I gave it up😝 I guess it's a BB2000-derived design😅
