I got a message this morning from domino informing me of this Master Piece and knew ol' Greco would be all over it! Thanks for not letting us down and reviewing this pizza for us so early on, you true blue aussie bloody legend!!
@Michaels Carport Off-brand simply means crap vibes, like cheap, “homebrand” versions of popular, quality products. Also, the far superior original cheesymite scrolls are Bakers Delight creations! Plz beware of imitations 😆
@Michaels Carport Dominos is actual trashy, inferior pizza IMHO which is why I labelled it “off-brand” coz no love, care or quality lives there & there’s certainly no collab with Bega cheese to be seen here anywhere (not that that would save this travesty!) ~ just a partnership with Vegemite that’s topped with their usual cheap, tasteless, greasy mozzarella 😬 But all the best to u mate & cheers for the banter 👍
What ever happened to pizza's nowadays . Back in the 80's and 90's Pizza Hut, Eagle Boys even the Local pizza joint where really good. The franchise businesses today don't give a shit.
I swear Greg lives on another planet and then visits our planet on the daily to beam his reviews up to his planet for its approval. Then beams it back down to our planet for an honest, other worldly review. Keep being weird mate. I love it. 😂💙👍🏼
You should watch 2Aussie’s review. He is in NSW. He got his at the local Domino’s. It was better than yours. Less Vegemite. More cheese it made it tolerable.
That's only cause Turtleman is a regular at these places and they know him so they give him good versions of otherwise crap food. Also the guy just eats crap from the big chains all the time so it all tastes good to him. The only thing he really has an opinion on are the chips. lol
@@GregsKitchen that's it! Creme fraiche base, mozarella cheese x 2, Vegemite, caramelised red and white onions and VOILA! Howzzat sound? Maybe Grego could COOK ONE UP IN THE KITCHEN?😮
Just as food quality in cafes and restaurants deteriorates just before they close down Domino's is clearly in a death spiral. Maybe some other pizza chain will emerge to take its place and thrive by consistently offering good quality pizzas at good prices.
Remember when Dominos just made pizza and garlic bread.. When they decided to add every conceivable side/add-on to their menu, Dominos became nothing but a Side Show to what pizza really is.
@@jameschristmas3206 It was when they franchised they lost it. Don't get me wrong here but some people cannot make pizza for shit and should stick to making curries, GMD. Some store are excellent and focus on quality, while other scrimp on toppings and just don't give a flying Ffff... All profit, no customer service. It's the independent stores and proper pizzarettes that make the good stuff.
Hello mate I'm from the UK and i love vegemite and marmite and i must say that i prefer vegemite as it spreads a lot easier and isn't as strong tasting as Marmite, I've got to say that looks horrible to much vegemite i wouldn't eat it also i love my meat to much being a butcher over here, stay safe you lot over there 🙏🙏🙏
The viral new York pizza bar owner has done a better job with his usage of Vegemite on pizza then dominos and from looking at the pizza bar owners version I know I'd rather eat that one..
For that price you could get 2 pizza bases and there is cheesy vegemite(cheesybite) at woolies, and it costs $4.00 then add some extra mozzarella or other cheese on top.
Haha Grego seems to bash dominos a lot. I don’t know if i’m just lucky that my local dominos makes good pizzas but i can’t remember ever complaining about a dominos pizza
Dont know what he is talking about. Dominos is a ripoff in general. The $5 pizzas are just toasted dough with tiny amount of meat. Your never going to get value from pizzas.
I would think Vegemite is salty enough like anchovies that they should probably approach it the same way, just a topping sprinkled on lightly so it doesn’t dominate, but giving punches of flavour instead
with anchovie pizza they have the marinara sauce base which is acidic and counters the saltiness of the anchovies and makes it taste better. here there is no acidic counter to the saltiness, just a stupid idea made by someone who has no idea on taste.
Random Thought: I personally think Dominos Pizza Dough Needs to be “Abit Lightly Cooked” as even their Classic Crust is too Overly Crispy & their Thin & Crispy is way Dry Cooked. Soft Dough but Lightly Crispy Might Actually Improve their Pizzas, 🍕 but that’s just me. 🙂
If Dominos made the pizza with tasty cheddar cheese then it will taste more like cheese and Vegemite on toast, so it would at least have to be 50/50 mozzarella and tasty cheese but it still has not dealt with the base issue.
🔹️ Greg, you can ask them what's on the pizza b4 ordering, so no excuses there. I never buy pizzas from Domino's. I much prefer their other food options
I prefer thin and crispy but the app won't let you change from standard crust, also I wanted extra cheese but couldn't change that either. Ended up not bothering.
Pizza shops have been doing Vegemite pizzas for probably 20+ years but they don't over do it with the Vegemite like Domino's have. The key is a little Vegemite on the base then cheese on top so it's not overpowering
I love Vegamite. On toast with butter an occasionally I add cheese. They say presentation is 9 tenths of the meal. Well that pizza looks UTTERLY DISGUSTING! So I won't be buying it. Great review again Greggo 👍
Top work here GregO and what was Mr Meij thinking of when he approved this offering…?! Them delivery bikes out the front of that joint won’t be scooting too many of these around to the home quarantined I reckon… surely they’ll drop it to a $5 version just for the novelty factor…. Cheers Gibbo
Lol, Gregos fascial expressions tell me everything we need to know about this harebrained idea. Like any other good Aussie, vegemite is such a personal thing, we all have are limit that works for us. I shall be sticking with toast and a light smear and Kraft single. Cheers
