@@greenleafaudiosasmr9555 So basically, the individual granules of apricot seeds scrubs are too sharp and they end up causing microscopic damage to the skin which causes a lot of negative side effects like disrupting your skin barrier and causing acne, redness, sensitivity, dryness, Etc . If you’re using a physical exfoliator scrub, a better option is something like sugar that will slightly dissolve when wet so that the individual granules are smoother and gentler . Although, it’s generally better to use chemical exfoliators than physical . There is an infamous apricot scrub product by St. Ives that gets memed on by the skincare community for being so bad for your skin despite how it markets itself for being anti acne . They should really remove it from the shelves but the regulation for skincare products is basically non existent in America (and I believe the west as a whole too) so most of the products on the shelves are lowkey scams that make your skin worse . That’s why Asian skincare has become so popular recently, because their regulations are better so if you buy a moisturizer it’s more likely to be a moisturizer and not a lotion that makes your skin worse on purpose so you buy other products to fix it . Also, snail mucin is pretty common these days and isn’t too expensive, most of the best skincare products are a bit expensive but affordable to the average person if they budget for it . Most of the super expensive rich people skincare product are a bit gimmicky and not really worth it . Mostly the things that rich people do that the average person can’t afford skincare wise is to get fancy facials and other procedures done by the esthetician or even getting surgeries or laser treatments to remove more permanent blemishes or tighten the skin and things like that . Ah, sorry I ranted that’s a bad habit .
