Im a 15 year old who refs U13 (play U17) And i just know how fucked up it can be when a player rips the puck across the ice after they get scored on. They should sit in the bin cs i had players do it multiple times.
My dad tells me after every goal to forget about it and keep playing. Simple words, but it has made a big impact on how I play, even when I face 60 shots a game. (My defense is 🐕 💧)
A goalie coach taught me to not even look at the puck if it goes in. Don't touch it, skate to the corner or around the net, think about how or why the puck went in, correct your mistake mentally, but do not touch that puck. Let the ref do his job and get ready for the next one.
