I’m just recovering from a stroke, but hoping I will be able to play sometime this season. Want to get fitted for a new Ping driver, as I play with Ping now, and have an old G30 driver that I don’t hate. Loved your video Sir. Thank you for your insight. 🇨🇦💝👍
PXG does offer special discounted pricing for active or retired law enforcement and military, for me in the states being in that program myself, i can get the 0311 black ops for $449. And most everything on the website is discount to some extend which it's awesome
Loved this! Those are the two clubs I was wanting to game this year! Gave the Qi10 LS a run but the Ping 10K beat it out! Plus I didn’t like like looking to see if the face popped out after each shot! Lol😂
Hello James I seen a video of the same pxg driver the guy had the loft at 8 degrees he was hitting it far. He said that it was like a long driver with forgiveness
I'm becoming a big fan of PXG clubs. It took me a while to get there, but I'm here. They make great clubs, give a nice discount to veterans, and put all of the really nice premium touches on things like head covers, etc. I have the 0311 GEN 6 Driver and GEN 6 hybrid XF and I love them both. Great clubs.
I brought the ping 430 last year when it first hit the shelves but sold for it after 6 months just couldn’t not get on with it went for a fitting and found my driver I now own lay a PXG
James why do you look at average drives on forgiving drivers as they are always within a couple of yards surely it’s better to see which one gives the best maximum distance when you go for one.
Golf WRX or My Golf Spy? I recently went for a fitting at PXG and put the black Ops against current G410. G410 had the carry, Black opps on total due to lower spin.
Played around with a mate off 32 handicap, he got fitted for the Ping G430 max 10k. Even with 10k you still have to hit it middle or vey close. 10k is an advertising plug that’s working. Looks wise that PXG is tidy
@@andreashley6084 in 12 months he will be off 20 as he does a lot right. 10k will have nothing to do with it. I think we all hope that new club will work miracles 😀
So I think this is pitched at the longer driving low handicapper. I bought the taylor made iQ10 and it is very forgiving. Never so made so many middle of fairways in my life.
I am a mid to high handicap golfer and I have never liked the Ping drivers , stopped trying after the G410 , I have been playing Taylormade Pre twist face , did not like the twist face and Cobra drivers up to the Rad speed , Just got a Tour Edge E722 to try out this year . looking forward to that . cheers . :)
As good as the Ping might be - I just cannot get comfortable over it with how busy the club head is with those weird turbulators or whatever the hell they call these things on the top. The Cobra LTDx was in my bag the last 2 years but after testing - nothing compared to the Callaway AI Smoke!
everyone likes preferences and you can see and hear James had a lot to say about what bothers him about the Ping... at this point, drivers are all the same... and it's the same story every year... more distance, more forgiveness, and shut up and give us your money... oh wait, look at the colors we have...
Best friend and playing partner hits the g430 10 k .....and loves it ....but I have the cobra ltdx from couple years back ....and we have almost identical swing speeds ...and we can switch drivers and to be honest there is not any distance gains either way nor forgiveness....I do play my ltdx with a upgraded carbon infused custom shaft at 3 wood length 43in ....and if I were going to spend 600 on one of the new drivers it would be the ping 430 10k ......
One has to wonder if the clubs have hit a limit. A this far and no farther. I used to update my clubs every 1-2 years. Now, I wait until I feel I’m losing yards due to metal fatigue. My hybrids were a classic example. Lost 15 yards and upgraded and got the 15 yards back.
I agree with your statement 100 % I gamed the taylormade sldr 9.5 from time it came out until about 4 years ago .....and only reason it came out of the bag is because I noticed a significant loss in yardage ....I thought maybe it was me ...at first ...but it was 20 yards shorter on average the last year I gamed it and it felt well....dead ....like it had lost its pop ....now I wasn't playing everyday but up to 5 times a week and at least 3 ....and that's not counting range and indoor practice ...it had been hit 10 of thousands of times I am sure ....but I feel there hasn't been much gains for at least 5 years now maybe 10 ....on the equipment side ...but things like you say do wear out and get fatigued ....I do feel unless you just want to spend the top dollar on a brand new model....you can better spend your money on clubs that are prior models maybe one or two seasons back and use what you save on tee times or lessons and the money is better spent....I just changed out my irons...to ping I 230s ....was gaming the s55 and would still be but the 7- pw are getting where the grooves and faces are slick and when any water comes in to play it can be an issue ....I hate changing irons ....but that's just me ...
You show the distance, but you never show which driver more accurate. For years I have seen James hit the Ping more accurate but choose a different driver because of distance. I use to do the same thing. I have always been a TM guy, but switched to Ping due to accuracy. I hate the tabulators but love the accuracy.
I always find it funny how golfers say “oh I need/want a traditional looking driver” but then are referring to something that like 10 years old.. if you want a traditional looking driver go get yourself a old wooden driver… lol..
@@JamesRobinsonGolf still would have been good to see dispersion on the indoor test as you hit a lot of balls indoors? But still enjoyable video as usual
Hi all manufacturers claim there club is the best so while i was thinking that you would like to put the callaway smoke against the new titleist to put these manufacturers to the test😅😅😅
How did the driver “forgive” your swing? You hit 500 balls a day. Get a high handicapped player on your show, let’s see how “forgiving” those clubs are.
So they make them lighter with carbon fiber then add tungsten weights to make it heavier!🤔🤪! Yes , I know why but I think it’s getting rather silly!!!! Learn how to hit the damn ball where you want it to go through practice, practice, practice!!!!
