The July 2024 update in Animal jam comes with an exciting new adition! The Leopard… Or, as others like to call it, the Snow Leopard with a bad haircut. This animal sparked a lot of controversy for being choppy and potentially a reskin, and I cover all the points against it in this video.
PS, the title isn’t supposed to be me bullying you into not daring to press buy on that shiny 180 or 250 price tag. Do as you’d like! I simply presented a reason to skip, or at least wait out this animal before rushing to decisions and possibly regretting it.

THERES A NEW UPDATE! A lot of the most known bugs have been patched with the model! Consider this animal... somewhat patched, LOL. It's still a bit stiff in some areas, and some items still bug. But most are fixed!

Okay I'm so sad now I wish I was there when they did patch it I'd love seeing like. Ancient armor just inside of the Leopard 😂 That would have been so funny

Funny cause according to the wiki page, the snow leopard had the same issue when it was first released… Yes we all know this is a reskin.

Fun fact: snow leopards first released earlier than they were supposed to which is why they glitched so badly

I totally wasn’t fan girl-ing the other day in the pillow room 😅 But yeah the new animals don’t have the same feel anymore, for me personally I think it’s the fact they don’t have eyeliner. It makes it look like the eyes are popping out of the head instead of sitting in eye sockets lol.

@@Com85_ajpw Heyyy!!! I was so happy I got recognised, you really made my week with that! And about the eyeliner, I didn’t even notice it, but you’re totally right! The new animals also have more detailed eyes with a gradient, which.. I’m not that big of a fan of. They don’t really work for some outfits.

The eyelashes are also glitched When you have eyelashes on the model, it doesn't seem bad at first but if you look closely, in between the eyelash and eye, you will seee....

I noticed this recently as well!! Especially if you go into trade - the lashes turn all black no matter what color and get completely glitched.

I bought the leopard not knowing about this glitch ( mostly because I wanted the outfit lol ) now I just count it as me having another snow leapord and I just use it basically as a mannequin ( but I only test the shoe and hat items bc yknow ). Overall, worst copycat I think we’ve ever gotten tbh. Honestly the only copycat that actually isn’t as lazy as the others is the Eurasian wolf imo, since they ACTUALLY put some effort into the model but making its head and tail completely different AND making it have a completely different dance and play animation. Obviously that’s just my opinion lol

@@idkwhybutfrenchfries I totally agree! At least the new set that came with it is ADORABLE. I’m actually so happy about it - will buy another one on explorer once they get cheap. The Eurasian wolf is also one of my favourite animals, it is so so pretty, and in my opinion a welcome addition to the wolves. Your opinion is pretty good 💯👍

This is so funny, i might regret buying the leapord if i don't see my items flying off of it In my opinion this actually makes it worth buying No animal is gonna have the skirt halfway under the animal instead of on it. And that probably makes this game even more enjoyable to play Just to see how ridiculous things get with this.

*me who already brought 6-7 of them before i watched this vid*:😶 Tbh i brought it mainly for the sets, and i brought all of the bundles in different color when i just woke up so um- i did realize how weird some items looks on the leopard but i just thought only a few items were off-

I think they did it that in purpose, bc the fit check is mayby coming soon, so its pretty much useless to them check automatic setting on clothes, even tought i think its not best idea release the leobard now.

I dont think reskin is the right word tbh it’s a new model which is to me different enough to the snow leopard that it looks like it’s own animal. The korzak fox (definitely spelt that wrong) and the viper are exact replicas of the arctic fox and snake with like fur tufts and spikes added. But the leopard is more distinct. The actual reskins are the same base animal just colored differently and with preset pattterns. And there are so many of those it’s ridiculous.

I hate reskins sm!! Stop reskins for animals and pets and start releasing new animals!! I feel like the community would grow so much more.

@@uramooma It's alot of easier and faster to them do reskins, than brand new animal every month, bc they can just reuse designs, animations, rigging and stuff. Community gets mad and unpatient if they won't add new content regularly, so thats why they need to work on smaller updates, to make us motivated until we get bigger updates.
