It occurred to me considering that she used chicken, that its basically a chicken salad with some unconventional ingredients. Doesn't seem so out there now. Lol
Omg I just finished radiation yesterday from a recent diagnosis of larynx cancer. The radiation drues your salivary glands burns off your taste buds and leaves a funny feeling in your throat and funny taste in your mouth. Needless to say eating sucks right now. But.this kind of food is my favorites. Im so hungry its just hard to eat when you dont taste and your mouth doesnt naturally water. Oh well they said i should get all that back in two weeks. Eating is my favorite thing to do i cant wait to taste and eat comfortably again. God bless anyone with any health problems that reads this.
Chopped salads just have a different texture profile and I think as good, if not better, than everything whole. I think it helps, too, because the mayo or what condiment you use is now all blended nicely within the salad instead just on the bread. This looks DELISH!!!
@@dilypopp true, but nothing tastes bland if you know which meats and cheeses to use, have fresh vegetables, a little seasoning and sauces, which is what your mainly chopping up and replacing it in your sandwich bread. Some people love bland food but I’m not in that group, however I rather like I said not chop it up and just have a regular sandwich unless it’s a Philly cheesesteak with a side of Tex mex fries, gravy and au jus than that’s acceptable in my eyes 😊🤤🤌🏻👌🏻👌🏻♥️🥰 but that’s not to say my kids won’t like the chopped sandwich with a side of veggies and yogurt tube
The chopping is necessary for even distribution of flavor 🤣! I chop the veggies, meat and cheese and then put them in a bowl and add seasoning and condiments. Way less mess. I use a wrap and eat whatever doesn’t fit with a spoon 😋
That’s the concept. You didn’t discover anything new with the trend. Doesn’t stop gravity from working though. This is a silly one that won’t be around in the way it is for long.
but it'd be disgusting to get a whole mouthful of onion. this way everything is evenly distributed, you can have it in your mouth, on your lap, and on the floor.
This looks ssoooo delicious 🤤!!! I agree with you about just making it a sandwich without all the chopping!!! Definitely gonna make this for a quick dinner for a weeknight or great for eating while watching your sports shows!!! 💯🤯🤤
I like the chopping if you then toss it into a wrap. It’s the easiest way that I use up leftovers. If there’s a bit of sauce I don’t even need any mayo or dressing. It’s delicious!
Chopped sandwiches have made a huge difference in my life. My kid has a feeding dx and has trouble biting through all the layers of a sandwich and then moving each element in their mouth when they require a different type of chewing or a longer chewing time (like lettuce compared to cheese or meat compared to a tomato). Chopped sandwiches get everything down to a size she can manage and if she doesn’t chew the lettuce enough she can still eat it, it also already has the condiments mixed in evenly so it makes it easier to move in her mouth. She LOVES trying new food so finding things like this that make more foods accessible are so great!
I like the chopping step fr ☺️ I love the way mine looks because I add chunks of every color it just looks so pretty :3 Also I love cooking and prepping so I feel at peace preparing something like that ☺️
I would totally agree, but as someone with NO teeth, chopped salads are freaking amazing. Also, I do the same for sandwiches or wraps, and for the same reason.
I always use a 4cup plastic measuring cup for chopping. Put everything in the cup then chop with scissors. No mess. No fuss. Works great. Wash 1 plastic cup Plus if there's more than I need, I can store xup in the fridge with paper over top.
When I made my first chopped salad sub recently, that is what I did -- chopped all the ingredients individually and added them to a bowl as I went along. It was actually really easy and quick to do with a knife. I wasn't going to bother with a chopper or blender that I would have to clean later.
She says that she seasoned the chicken breast with salt, garlic powder and paprika, and seared it in a pan with a bit of avocado oil..then she combined Mayo with smoked chipotle peppers...
Putting a salad on a bun.. "Not practical, but fun... recommend just making a sandwich minus the unnecessary chopping" and mes. Sensible advice and response to an nonsensical "trend".
Reminds me of my favorite sandwich I used to get from panera bread , chicken salad sandwich. Panera is so different now , so many changes, I wouldn't know what to order now.
It may be a trend now, but people have been doing this for years. It's great for people who have difficulty chewing or swallowing. And you can prepare a bunch of it in advance and freeze it for later.
I promise not to do it. Talking about the sandwich as you wrote. I don’t understand this stupid fashion of inverse psychology of saying the opposite of what they should recommend us. Everything formulating from the negativity like and obscene way to wake up our instincts from the absurd rebellion…
