this truly blessed me! i will always remember God faithfulness to me in every season . when i was down and out depressed and anxious those dark days were replaced with Joy and love. Life is just seasons. It is 2:17am in naperville illionis. Im listening to this message with a bowl of soup in my parents basement with my 6 month old (who is wide awake). And I realized that I have been asking to wrong questions. This week I might lose my car and that's the very last thing I have but I'm so great full for God and how he's showing me Himself. My anxiety, depression and jacked up thoughts are getting better. Im learning to stop living for tomorrow or yesterday but to live for now. Just, WOW. Couldn't stop crying b/c I was one of those who was about to give up. How I go from full of faith to almost none at all in a matter of days - even to the point where I said, "God I do not believe anymore and I feel like Thomas - I need you to show me SOMETHING for me to see with my own eyes - anything." I was so desperate and it developed into apathy .. then numbness, sorrow, bitterness, and I could go on .. I feel like God just left me hanging TBH. I'm sure the tears are mainly my spirit trying to break through my fleshly thoughts and unbelief - the lies the enemy present to me, the pain is way too real and it HURTS so bad. This message was very humbling and I love how I could hear or read the same stories in the Bible and every time there is always something NEW and fresh that gives perspective, relevant for that period of time in my life. It's amazing. One of my favorite things about God is how when I pray specific prayers he ALWAYS answers them at "the right time" even when I've already thought to myself it may not ever happen anyway. I'm talking as of THIS MORNING .. Thank you God for your faithfulness and patience with me .. If this word was not for anyone else, it definitely was for me. This year I prayed to God for a change. I prayed that my dad would change because he was doing things that I knew were not safe during the pandemic, and so much change was on the horizon for us. I prayed for a wakeup call for my dad. That wake-up call came, unfortunately in the form of a stroke. He is alive, praise God, but it will be a long road to a full recovery. I'm praying now that my dad will follow his Heavenly father and do things a new way. This message touched me because God brought my dad through a stroke when I was 12 years old, and we're believing that He will do it again now 13 years later.
