I visited Egypt 12 years ago and the scammers are horrible. They wont leave anyone alone that are a foreigner. It was one of the worst places for me to visit.

i live in Mexico, we have the same problems as Egypt and also a booming tourist industry, with ancient ruins as in Egypt, but our people are not as annoying in this kind of places as in Egypt, this is next level!

I don’t care how historical Egypt is there’s no way it’s worth going there if you can’t relax and take in the scenery in peace.

I remember going to walk through a door and a man held the door open. He then asked me for money for doing this. The beggars around the Pyramids overwhelm you. I wanted to take my granddaughter to Egypt but I'm not going to subject her to this. The Egyptian government need to crack down on this.

I sympathize with the situation in Egypt, but that doesn't justify harassing visitors or significantly overcharging them, thus tarnishing the reputation of all Egyptians. Such actions erode trust, regardless of whether some individuals are honest or not

I went to Egypt with my daughter, two single women it was hell on earth, constantly hassled no let up, we just couldn't take it and flew back to london 4 day's later, cairo is dirty full of rubbish real nasty place.

Stay home people, learn more about ancient egypt from books and dokumentaries. This behavior from people is beyond unacceptable.

I was in Egypt a week ago and I really don't like it because they scam you for anything and bother you a lot

Do not pay in the middle of the ride because they do that so you have to pay tip ; 150 should be for everything, he tells you this is the boss so you think the other guy won’t get anything, they share the money between eachother

Don't give money to beggars. You are not helping them. There are charities for the poor if you want to donate. You are only putting money in the pockets of the adults these kids work for. Even food purchased for them gets sold back to the store for the money.

Just found your channel bro. I've watched a lot of videos where touts hustle vloggers. 100EGP to 150EGP is about an hour for a camel/horse ride. You had an advantage where you knew the language. Anyhow, I enjoyed the content, keep at it.

I truly would like to believe the owners or caretakers of the camels looks after them. But seeing lots of videos about camel ride around the pyramids it's literally breaks my heart. Seen horse been whipped too with visible scars .It's sad and make me wonder how badly these innocent animals exploited 😢

All the scams really hurt the legitimate businessmen who have set up shop there and never see any actual costomer tourists because the scammers have already made sure they never even go that way. the man at the very beginning was either a legitimate guide who was extremely pushy or he was a scammer posing as a guide.

Thanks for helping me make up my mind about visiting Egypt.Too much trash everywhere and the people constantly trying to con you is more than I could or would bear. Maybe I'll go to South America instead.

these scammers at the plateau try their best to make it look to onlookers that he is your guide and that you approve of what he is doing. if you did a 180 degree turn and walked the other direction he is walking or stopped and raised your hands to signal that you are being bothered against your will then you will see him running away from you!.....the deal these scammers have with the tourist police is that they can negotiate with tourists but only on friendly terms, so many of them will laugh out loud to signal a friendly conversation when in fact he is trying to scam you.

I went to the pyramids in 2000 and was very underwhelmed. Prior to the terrible current war in Sudan I visited the pyramids and tombs of that country and the experience was infinitely better.

Just take it in as part of the whole experience, don't feel obligated to answer everyone trying to sell you something or asking for money, just politely decline and keep walking. You'll often run into kids like that girl, so if you do need something try and buy from them, they are out of school and have no option other than to work (the cost of goods is very cheap when you convert dollars to local currency). Egypt is the most historical place on earth and a great country to visit.

My temper would be tested to the limits there, thank you for sharing this I will not go thus end up in an Egyptian jail

I've watched like a dozen videos of that on youtube and all have the same experience. Yes I do understand the people want to make a living and are hustling but so are the people in other parts of the world at tourist sites but Egypt is the worst

I am watching a playlist of these scammer videos and the lowest price one dude got offered 1h of a horse ride for 20 EGP! Normal price is 50 for 1h. I read comment below and people are scammed for 1600EGP!!! I guess a sucker is born every minute. But people please get them out of business the animals and kids are abused!

You should only go there in an organized manner. Group travel. So that all the tourists are together and you have a guide from Europe. I would also like to do it all myself, but when I see this, I lose the desire to do so.
