Exactly because if you don't and glue the nails on your natural nail bed that kind of air dry glue will ruin your natural nails, I learned the hard way😢my nail beds were ruined! They got the top layer of my nails ripped off when a nail would pop off!!
So wait.... should we do a layer of builder gel on our natural nails, then the top coat. Then scuff it with the file, use dehydrator, and then use the glue? Correct? Cuz girl I've destroyed my nails with press ons, but I love the convenience of them! I've got all the products, I just never knew you could put a builder gel or top coat under a press on nail!
@@Katniss2009No she is putting the gel and top coat on the press on which prevents the white from chipping, makes it shiny and thicker. Doing it before saves time, you don't need to put your hand under the uv light, just the press on, and it helps to prevent gel getting on your skin. I'm not sure if you can put builder gel underneath press on when using regular nail glue. But in general , any type of gel products on your natural nails or skin can cause bad allergic reactions if not done correctly so I prefer using reg nail glue. I don't have issues with them destroying my natural nails as long as I remove them correctly.

I do my own nails. All my female coworkers look at my nails every morning and worship them. I tell them i glued it on. Not paying for that shit. I literally got the same nails on right now from shein lol. But i use kiss glue. And my job is very physical. The ladies with acrylics break theirs. I don’t 😂

I have those and they are so good however the white tips can easily be scratched off if you're doing dishes or cleaning etc. you need the top coat on them under LED light. Also they last for about 2-3 weeks before lifting.
@@sinceresinclair yes you can glue them on and then do the gel coat , but for some reason when I applied the gel coat and cured them under The LED the gel started peeling off of the tips . So I think maybe using a primer then GEL . I’m not sure if hers in the video started peeling after . I find these are only good to wear for a special occasion for the day or else the white French tip part scratches off easily .

I just did a mirror nails press on set, the compliments keep coming! Also press ons are healthier than acrylic- easier to take off and acrylics make my nails thin and flimsy.

I do my own apres gel x nails at home and i use builder gel on my natural nails all the time so this comment confused me lol but this is definitely a good tip she showed. Sometimes i want to use glue instead of curing my nails on.
Pre paint nails w/Builder gel 1. Alcohol nails 2. File down 3. Dehydrator 4. Dry 5. Glue 6. Hold down for 30 sec Base coat*cure*Builder gel*cure*top coat*cure Ok I think I got it
If they are too long just file them down beforehand! Take a little from the bottom (great if you need to adjust the shape/width too) and some from the tip! Most nails are lightly shaped so taking too much from the bottom can look a bit off, but that also depends on how flat your nail beds are. My mum has very flat and wide nails, so taking some off the bottom to reduce the curve makes them fit better. My nail beds are quite small, and I have a better apex curve, and deep C curve so I need to look out for more shaped nails and file the bottom and sides to fit nicely.
something i do that yes i’m sure isn’t exact great for nail health but girl we’re abusing them anyway~ so before i put the nail and glue on, i’ll take a file and just barely file the top of my nail and the bottom of the fake nail to create crosshatches that the glue will settle into and bind them together even stronger! ❤
