It's not about that it's about surviving a banana republic the last election was questionable at best. Since then we have seen massive inflation. Some of us are Patriotic. But if things don't change there's no reason to cling on to a sinking ship that hates you for trying to make it float. A lot of people are making exit plans
when you have someone and a party acting in a way reminiscent of a fascist party out of The Man in the High Castle, along with ridiculously high living expenses, that makes people want to leave, and people have left, it's no coincidence channels like these have increased in popularity

If the USA works for you, then stay. But never expect to claim that the USA is the BEST. It is definitely not the best for everyone. I left the USA many years ago, and I was doing okay by most standards, but since I left I am immeasurably happier and my family agrees with me. Remember that old song/saying that said "different strokes for different folks?" That is a truism.
I left America last year, i tried to convince my friends to listen to me and go check out other places but they refused again and again, i feel frustrated and sad people don’t listen until it’s too late
My __Single Mother_ left the U.S. in *1969,* and took me as a small child with her to Brazil. Then after 2 years, to Portugal. Then to Kenya. Ultimately back to the U.S. after 4+ years. I was sorta' "born into" this. In my 60's now, traveled a lot, and have Lived in the past - and live now in various Countries. My words of wisdom, for what its worth, is that I realized a long time ago that I don't want to live anywhere near my U.S. Friends. So when they ask "How's it going over there?" My pat response is "naaah, its ok, but there are a lot of problems here, you wouldn't like it."
The most important is to just be concerned with yourself and your well-being. I question why I am still in contact with my "friends". They do not see the situation like I do. I now have limited contact.
@@bibibachmd9995 You nailed it! It "should" be what's an important value at the _Individual_ level. Most people remain at the *Tribal* level; they're main concern is with what others tell them is important. I had to accept this regarding my friends. I respect them but they do not think like me. They are going to do what they want to do, irrespective of what I think is logical to me. I just had a long conversation with a Woman I've known since childhood. About 60 years. She expressed to me that a friend of hers was talking about establishing a "Plan-B" residence in Costa Rica. Of course I applauded it. But my friend said "She is never going to leave the U.S., _Regardless_ of the circumstances." As a Woman of color in America, her skill and talent have been demonstrably subjugated. Yet she - in her heart of hearts - believes she can prove herself to the culture at large. There is no way I can get her to consider better (not perfect) opportunities -without the cultural prejudices - in other geographies. She has to live her own life, as do I.
I already left America. Doesn't matter who is in charge. The dynamics on the ground don't change. I don't hate America, But I am happy in Malaysia and I ain't ever going back. If Patrick wants people to leave then pay up and give 1 million and see how many people take the offer. A measly 100k is laughable.
You don't have to be wealthy to benefit from leaving the U.S. to live in another country. Currently happy in central Mexico and living so much better on less than it took just to survive in the U.S.
Left the US 12 years ago and am considering renouncing. I don't vote in the US anymore because neither party is solving any problems. Both parties have proven that their policies don't work and the country continues to slide regardless of who gets elected.
US Corp went bankrupt. Land lease has expired. The past 3 years must happen the only pitiful turmoil was government spending like the depression era. Abs mistakes that will take long to shrink that highest record deficit. After Trump's lowest ever price of gas!!
As an American 🇺🇸 and with me only being 28 years old I’ve realized a few things that most people wouldn’t bother to notice. The main thing is the cost of living and inflation get staggered right before the election and right before the new or same candidate gets put in office to try to make you believe they will actually change something. And right after the new candidate gets put in office the cost of living and inflation sky rockets afterwards it happened after 2008,after 2016 and right after 2020.So I’m warning all Americans please don’t stick around any longer this time will not be different.
Trump had the economy doing great. Then the dems and the World Economic Forum unleashed Covid. The problem is Americans are stupid and don’t understand economics, foreign policy. Hell they don’t understand how our government works. They watch the news and think they know.

Why? A country of 340M people and such vast land area needs a lot of government. Plus since WWII we have been stabilizers around the world, something we benefit from more than it costs us.
I want peace in my life and the United States just is not it. I will give it two years no matter who wins, but there is too much anger here. It is not the economy. People here seem to just want to control and hurt other people. You can not really have friends here, it is difficult to trust people.
I've left the US three times in my life. A year in Switzerland, 4 years in Mexico, 8 years in South Africa. You can definitely get a better quality of life overseas but it depends on what you are looking for. I'm a simple guy. I love Nature, the life of the mind, and hanging out with good friends and good food. You can do in most countries. Given the tension in the world today, I'm considering packing my bags again and heading somewhere wild and untamed with not that many people. Any recommendations? I love trees and water :)
Almost not a single person left the country because of Trump last time he was president, people who say that kind of stuff are overly dramatic and emotional and it’s not fact-based. But Democratic disasters, such as California has real life effects and in turn had huge consequences where businesses, celebrities, and many people in real life ACTUALLY left California for better run places like Texas.
I've made a concerted effort to disengage from discussing US politics for a while now, its become too divisive and toxic and respectful dialogue can be a challenge. I have some family members who (during a gathering for dinner or celebration) always seem to gravitate into these conversations, its tiring and requires weaving non-political topics into the exchange just to make it tolerable. Since the pandemic ended, I have been traveling a lot to SE Asia - love the different cultures and I've met some truly wonderful people who made me feel so welcomed, appreciated, and we talk about life experiences versus politics. For me, relocating to one of these places is a question of when.....not if. That's how I will treat the problem.
I agree that avoiding discussions about politics is wise. I've noticed that many people prefer to debate politics rather than take concrete actions to address issues. These discussions are often time-consuming and unproductive. Best of luck with your endeavors in Southeast Asia.
The biggest challenge to leave is to continue earning USD while abroad. Just relocating because your job allows you to work remote isn't a safe move. If your employer fires you or tells you can't work remotely, what are you going to do? That's the challenge and what I've been working so hard for the past two years now. To build a second income stream to not depend on a 9-5 in case the worst happens. Another thing is to lower your standard of living to archive this goal of moving abroad cause if you have a considerate income stream you could save a lot more money and have a buffer of savings in-case you lose your main source of income.
Miley Cyrus actually does live in Dubai . She still tours in the United States . This idea where people can say your not patriotic because you feel you can do better somewhere else is arrogant
I was wondering about that when he mockingly showed her looking happy (while doing a concert, what did he think she should look like). My question was are we saying people can't EVER come back to the U.S. for various reasons if they said they were leaving? Leaving to me means living somewhere else, not that you can never come back for various reasons of your choosing.
That’s some huge hypocrisy to want to move from the USA because allegedly trump is racist and homophobic, only to move to a country that is more homophobic and treats foreign workers like absolute garbage. Not trying to hate on Dubai, but she was going to fly her flag high that she was gonna leave the USA because of a political statement, she went to a country that stands for none of it.
IKR? One hundred grand US in Colombia or Vietnam is an insane amount of money, via the exchange rate. That said, my uncle did an ancestry search and found his maternal great great grandmother on a North Carolina plantation slave census. The year was 1830 and she was around 40 years old…which means she was born around 1790. In turn, that means that my American Descendants Of Slavery ancestors have been in the USA longer than most of the “Bet Davids” saying “get out and don’t come back.” IJS…
@DerHammerSpricht It basically creates an authoritarian theocracy and is only a threat under Republicans. And not just Trump, DeSantis has already tried to enact parts of it in Florida. The whole document is online, so anybody can read it.
I am a home body and love Canada but Trudeau has started me thinking that maybe I should leave because he is a child in an adult body who wants to spend and spend with expectation of just taxing people. I am preparing to possibly leave unless Pierre gets in. I am 77 and single so leaving my sister and brother is difficult but I need to leave.
Our 70-something year old neighbour in Victoria left for the Philippines last year. He's very happy he did, and left his jab-addicted now-ex-wife and daughter behind. We have other 70-something year olds leave for Spain last year to escape the rising communist tide. We ourselves escaped Canada in early 2022. The sooner you are able to settle somewhere else the easier it'll be for you. It takes time and effort to set up anew.
I left the USA. I live in Malaysia now . The cost of living is very low , the food is incredibly good , the people are very welcoming and we have a quiet life .
As a vet I love Trump and love America but as soon as I can financially I’ll be leaving to Thailand, Vietnam, or Colombia. Purely for the fact that your American dollar stretches so far in those countries and the people, food, culture, and quality of life are just amazing
@ProLookout would you leave your family if its relation was toxic? Your words are probably of someone who wouldn’t. Dealing with a toxic country is like dealing with a bad family. If you aren’t willing to endure the first moments away, you’ll not collect the benefits of quitting a bad deal. This needs thinking about the long term. You only build something great if you can build now, tomorrow, next year, next decade. Short term renders us blind. The US collectively only thinks about the present and it’s killing the country. The realization of the wrong direction is not in the next 5 years. It’s more likely about the next 30 years.
America cares more about $ then it cares about the quality of life! Ive tried politically for years to fix the issues! Now old i realize i cant change the american character which i dislike! Plus trump wants a dictatorship i would be a target of his!
You are ON POINT with much of this. LISTEN!! I am an upper middle class “Black American”. I know better than most what a Fascist/AUTHORITARIAN regime means, especially for oppressed/minority groups. We shall not pretend and only need to reflect on history. We purchased and own a property FREE AND CLEAR on the African continent. I REFUSE to live under a non-democratic society! Sure there is no Utopia anywhere in the world, but I choose to not be someplace where the environment is such where I have those who would become emboldened to do me harm or I might have to do them harm in order to prevent their attempt. Would still have to work through residency process in order to eliminate Visa runs, but at least having the residence and bank accounts already gives us a leg up. We HAVE SOMEPLACE TO GO!
@@lisaserenechaos6833 Same to you! I applaud anyone who is so bold and thoughtful. The arrogance and lack of basic human empathy in a large percentage of “Americans” and “AmericA “ (in other words, the U.S.) is beyond gross, and it only takes one to spend more time in the rest of the world to realize that. It will be its ultimate ruin.
I like the message at the end. Agree 100%... once it becomes obvious you should escape to your safety raft, it's probably too late. You got to see it coming and get out while you still can.
If gay marriage gets re-legislated it is not theoretical anymore gay couples must flee to secure the legal rights. Roe v Wade is a big deal for a family with hs or college age girls. There is something more at stake than money now. The overturn of Roe vs Wade shows our rights are tenuous.
The overturn of Roe has also made it dangerous to be pregnant in the states with bans. No matter one’s politics or beliefs, a medical emergency can arise at any point and the politicians have threatened doctors to the point that women are not getting medical care that is necessary. At least twenty-two women are suing Texas over this and doctors are fleeing these red states to practice in blue states where they are free to make decisions based on the individual case. It is creating medical deserts.
I agree. Let the Marxist make their nation and let the Constitutional Republic of North America be born. We need to replace all of our AIPAC legislators anyway.
Ive been saying that for the last 3 years, give us red states and blue states. I am sick of having the democratic agenda shoved down my throat and I guess they feel the same. Let us live where things reflect our values.
I tried to expatriate twice in my 20s as a teacher of English as a foreign language, but failed both times because of the instability of being on a work visa. I did really enjoy living in Russia and I wished that I did not have to go. Maybe I'll try again in a few years working as an engineer instead of an English teacher.
Now, you mentioned relationships, in which someone just starts farting in bed. I know you're still somewhat young, Andrew, sir... but, in a healthy relationship, you as a man need your fartonomy. Another good reason why I always recommend that a man provide each of his women with her own bedroom and bathroom.

Inflation is managed by the Fed and the chair of that is the same Republican appointed by Trump. The financial experts say the rate is at or below his goals, so blame him if you have complaints. As for the border, there would be strict controls if the Republican controlled House had not killed the bill. Trump wanted to use it as an issue in the election and did not want problems solved. So again, you don’t appear to have gotten accurate information. I suggest you change sources to get the facts.
This is normal. People like to make these stupid statements. Politicians or political parties are not the reason to leave. The economy and society weights way more. Politicians are all the same. In the end they work for their donors and not constituents.
What I find strange is why is leaving the USA such a big deal.Alot of people with traveling jobs do it all the time Petroleum engineers working in the Middle East or Africa or Asia as an example.
Easy when you work for an international company. Not a lot of people are doing that and it can be very difficult for a foreigner to get a good job in foreign countries. You really want to be making western wages if you live overseas. Other ties to your home country can be family and healthcare considerations.
I may be young, but I rememember the 2016 election. It was the most hysterical to date. And then it took second place after 2020. I reckon 2024 really is going to be the most hysterical yet. The screeching and scratching of walls. The chalk on the board. By God am I happy not to be steeakholder in American society.
Yes, allow them to leave, I’m not comfortable with people who prefer inflation, civil unrest, wrong foreign policies, open borders, money for other people war and an inefficient administration .
It takes guts buddy, to do that. I return home (India) 25 years back from Australia after living over there for few years as PR. No regrets what so ever.
Do you have parents, grandparents, or even great grandparents from another country? Citizenship by descent is (normally) the quickest (and cheapest) option out there if you’re not rich. Other than that, you have residency or citizenship via naturalization or marriage.

As an African (from Ghana) I PRAY Trump wins so America can leave my country alone! America under Biden is threatening tourism and economic ruin if we don’t adopt and celebrate 🌈
I'm from Thailand and i agree. America under Biden is pure psychosis, but i'll say that. Biden's not so bad at least for any other country that is not within the Western alliance. Biden has driven the world to dedollarise that might not be a good thing for the US and its allies, but it definitely is for the world. America wields its dollars like a tyrant and it needs to fall.

Hi there--Just curious about the 2 other countries you spend time in. Did you keep your American citizenship? I'm thinking about doing something similar.
It costs way too much for the 90% to actually leave the us and cut all ties. The only hope I have of getting out is winning the lottery so, in truth it will have to be a gallon of rum and a pocket full of pills.
It really doesn’t matter which country you live in (with some exceptions, Afghanistan,Syria, etc.). People will be happy if they choose to be happy, location is not the determining factor. It is state of mind. That said, politicians in general should not be idolized such that we believe that they will rescue us.
Try saving a few k’s in dollars first. At the same time make connections with people in places you might move to (internet). Learn a different language (internet). Polish some really necessary skills In areas you might go to. With 10k you can basically move to half of the planet and still have survival money for a year. Then you filter these places and after you have 2 or 3 favorites. Go there to see, and then make a decision.

There’s a growing group of traditional conservatives called Republican Voters Against Trump and they make videos saying why. Also conservatives run channels like The Bulwark, Resolute Square, The Warning with Steve Schmidt, among others. moving within the USA is not even a common thing amongst Americans, and its expensive and time consuming. I didn't move under trump ( I liked his presidency overall) and I didn't move under biden (and I hated everything about him and his presidency).
