Toby, respectfully, he did not say 'don't vote'. . .he said, basically, that 'if your having a hard time choosing between a Bad potus or Worse potus, skip them both and "VOTE FOR CONGRESS". IE... if you despise DJT but ALSO disagree with reckless illogical Leftist policies vote for the R House and Senate seats. . or if you're OK with chaos but think Biden is too old (and Harris is too dim) vote for the D House and Senate seats.
A break in is a break in. I bet if someone broke into your home would you say in they weren’t armed it’s just a bunch of kids. Probably not you would want to press charges. Disagree with you. A break in is a break in regardless
Why? What about all the corruption $ joe has been invilved in with china and the overwhelming evudence showing it... Bank acts, emails, phone calls, etc?! Informed much?
Lol. Firstly prosecutors always rack up the number of counts to absurdly high numbers so they can leverage a plea deal. They do this particularly with minorities but because it's Trump then I guess suddenly prosecutorial tactics are a-okay. You can break the law only one time and a prosecutor can make 10 counts out of it. So it's disingenuous to use the "he got charged x number of times" to imply that he committed 88 different crimes. The sexual assault thing is also disingenuous because it was effectively a he said she said from something decades ago, and with a NYC jury pool, he was never going to win. Also, let's stop with the bs that Trump's legal issues have anything to do with why you're voting Biden. 90% of big time politicians have probably broken some sort of law. They're all pretty immoral people. But policies are really the only thing voters care about. If somebody brought back abortion rights or protected gay marriage or did all the policies that you care about, do you really care if he violated the law 30 years ago? Or even now. Chances are you don't. Most people don't. If LBJ was a sexual predator, and you could go back in time, would go back and stop him from being president knowing that if you did, the Civil Rights Act might not get signed? Ofc not. Same if it turned out Chief Justice Earl Warren was some criminal. He was the guy who got SCOTUS to rule the way that they did in Brown v. Board. Would you have revealed his crimes if it meant that BvB never happened? Ofc not. It's all about policy. Politics is a nasty business full of nasty people. So give me a break about the morality of the president. People only bring up crimes or alleged crimes to further justify the choice they made long ago.
Thank you Chris Cuomo for your podcast but I do plan on voting 🗳 in November for a President. I don't mail in my ballot I always walk in. I hope you are wrong about voting be down. Please get out and vote and make your voices here.
Wait a second Chris. Jeez...you have suddenly let me down. You say "don't for the (next) President"? Great!! Just what we need...more people feeling good about shoving their privilege to vote elsewhere. How about preaching civic responsibility as a better tack?
Sometimes it's your civic responsibility to not vote for any of the candidates if they are all terrible. I think he is delivering the best message possible currently: If you don't like any Presidential candidates then only vote for down ballot candidates who are the ones that make most of the policy changes anyway.
I did and RFK jr. has either no clear policies to address any of the problems we have in this country or has wacky and scar conspiracy theories. Plus, He's no Biden, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, or AOC who have outline and delivered clear strong policies for the country. In fact, AOC, Warren, Sanders have been urging everyone to vote for Biden.
Chris, our democracy is on the ballot. We only have two options and only one of them is a decent man that supports our democracy. I use to like you but now that i know how you really think, I do not like you. You are not a patriot.
Chris Cuomo, I’m sorry, but I don’t think you understand the siege of Gaza or the history of the state of Israel. 1. The protesters can point to before Oct 7 because there was no peace before Oct 7. It was still under a blockade. It was still economically and demographically impoverished with 50% of the population made up of children and the poverty rate at over 90%. The civilian population relied on humanitarian aid from the outside world, which only entered under the control of the Israeli government. And it’s this setting that takes place in a history of wars and military operations like Cast Lead and Pillar of Defense that left a considerable toll on the people. And this does not even include the occupation of the West Bank with the crimes that are committed by settlers and IDF personnel on a daily basis. 2. There is no reason for the protesters to protest Hamas first because the atrocities today is the murder of 40,000 people by Israel. This is what they are telling you not to ignore now, as it is happening in real time. 3. They can call it a genocide because Israel could not have made their intentions more clearer to the world. Yoav Galant said, “We abolished all the rules of war. Gaza will not return to what it was before. We will destroy everything. These emphasis is on damage, not accuracy. These are human animals.” Aside from the remarks by Israel’s defense minister, as well as the statements made by Herzog, Ben Gvir, and Smotrich, Israel’s actions fit in the perfect description of a genocide also because of deaths of 40,000 people, the destruction of Gaza’s infrastructure, both of which Israel promised, and the greater historical context of the Palestinian people losing their land and population centers since 1948. I was not happy to see the actions of some of the protesters, but there was violence from the pro-Israel groups as well, as seen at UCLA. Nonetheless, the protests should not be what bothers you, the war itself should. I really hope we as Americans come to terms with this reality because it involves us too. We’re financing this. And we are guilty.
wow, such a bad and reckless idea, with no real long term thought. No matter which congress is elected, they cannot pass anything unless the Presidents signs the bill, Trump learned last time he did not need the Senate to approve cabinet positions, he just named temp ones, the President is the one who gets to nominate judges, looked what happened last time. So disappointed in where you are these days. Which election have we have ever had a choice between to great choices sitting out this will not change that.
At some point we have to quit propping up a failed system with things like "vote blue no matter who" I'm sorry it does matter. We did "the lesser of two evils" in 2020 and it's been terrible, and the guy is barely coherent at this point and trying to go for another 4 years? If the Biden administration cared about the country more than personal power they would have retired Joe and endorsed someone better. They think that they can do whatever they want because "vote blue no matter who" and "but Trump?!?!" At some point we have to say "No, it does matter who" and if that means they lose in 2024 then so be it. They knew their candidate wasn't fit when they ran him again.
Chris ...why are you down playing what happened on Jan/6? The attackers had weapons, and Trump was likely aware of this before the attack. And what's wrong with vowing to go after Trump for breaking the law? If you call that politically motivated, then I'm all for it. It's a jury that determines his guilt or innocence, and voters have the right to know their verdict before the next election.
Many of the rioters had weapons in their possession but nobody went around shooting anyone or stabbing anyone except for that one cop who killed Babbit. I guess there were some incidents in which people used like fire extinguishers as a weapon so you could count that. The problem with the jury is that they're in Manhattan, who would convict Trump for just being Trump. You really think juries in NYC would be the same as a jury in rural Texas? Liberals complain about biased juries in rural counties all the time when it comes to racial minorities. But I guess in a city that absolutely hates Trump for being alive, we expect true impartiality.
You've not noticed a trend over the last 8 years of absolutely everything the left have said about Trump and thrown at Trump being proven to be absolute garbage? Biden kept classified documents at home but was deemed to weak and feeble to be prosecuted.
@deebee4575 It's not "persecution" when someone is charged with a crime after a grand jury determines there is enough evidence for a trial...No exception for political figures. A jury decides guilt or innocence. That's the way it's supposed to work in this country. Unfortunately, the rich and powerful know how to avoid this much scrutiny...and they'd like to keep it that way. Trump's narcissism got him in this mess because he couldn't lose gracefully. If Trump is found not guilty, I will accept the verdict. However, I am politically motivated to hope a jury determines he's guilty and is disqualified from running for any government position ever again.
@deebee4575 Interesting... My response to your question was removed. It's not persecution to ask a grand jury to decide if enough evidence exists to take it to trial. That's how our system works...or should. Political figures are not exempt.
Sorry Chris. I feel sad that you believe all you have are bad choices. You mentioned the four names in the race. Now...make your decision...which one do you believe will do a better job of being our President? Or are you complaining because there are not six...or seven names/parties to choose from? Make a decision, please. Anyway...good discussion.
Biden is not perfect but at least he is doing some good things like protecting the environment, improving infrastructure, college loan forgiveness, restoring women’s right to choose, and consumer protections. The boarder needs to be fixed and I think Biden would do a better job. I have agreed with nothing trump has ever come up with. He should never hold office again. After Jan6 I see him as a threat to our democracy.
Thank you Chris I hope we have everyone who can vote legally get out the vote in November. We need a big turn out and please don't complain if you don't vote!
There is no "guilt" in voting for RFK. He's the best choice for those who care about what's really important. (it's not whatever is airing on current affairs)
RFK jr. has either no clear policies to address any of the problems we have in this country or has wacky and scar conspiracy theories. Plus, He's no Biden, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, or AOC who have outline and delivered clear strong policies for the country. I’d like to know exactly what Chris thinks is so bad about Biden with the exception of his age? Biden has done a lot to help get us out of the mess Trump left us in. He’s not my first choice but holy hell let’s not put him in the same “bad” category as Trump. Some times your effort Chris to come off as non partisan is exhausting. One hundred percent behind you on Gaza War though.
He’s just playing politics. He needs more republicans on his show to make it more robust. With a one sided show with only dems he can’t grow the way he wants to. So he needs to walk that political line gingerly. In other words, biased commentary . Biden has done a lot for race relations which is very important for all of us regardless of color. Diversity is important and his Supreme Court pick was timely. Student loans forgiveness another milestone. No hate speeches and proud boy’s cheering him on like the other side. Day and night.
@@nobodycamnotguilty4497 no proud boys cheering him on. Correct, but he does have the kids that occupy college campuses and destroys them. Trump and Biden are both bad. Biden is just the worse of the two. Kennedy 24
Side note: IS has *refused * hostages for months. Especially the two elderly women who there were no conditions attached to, they didn’t want them. Families have been protesting this for months. They’ve been offered all of the hostages and deals for months and they keep rejecting it. This is bigger than what is on the surface. ..
I suspect Putin/Russia made a deal with Iran. Putin is using this war to weaken Biden. If Trump wins, Putin wins Ukraine and any other counties he want to take while Trump is in power.
Lmao. I'm pretty sure most people in politics have committed some sort of white collar felony, but they use their political connections to avoid it. Let's not even bring up Clinton's emails. Insider trading is a big one and we keep seeing politicians get away with it. Campaign finance regulations get broken all the time but usually they just make a deal to pay a fine. Obama's campaign iirc just paid off their violation with a $2 million fine. The idea that a felon being in the White House suddenly makes the place less icky is so naive. Don't pretend that politics was full of squeaky clean people before Trump came into power.
A vote for RFK Jr is a vote for Trump!!You want to vote for a third party candidate.Wait till 2028!I probably would if the right candidate comes along. And I am an Independent! Trump cannot be President ever again!!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

EXECUTIVE ORDERS can profoundly affect society without requiring Congress's approval. Moreover, what message would we send to the world if someone like Trump, with all his legal challenges and profanity , were to become president again? This election transcends national borders; it impacts global operations. While I understand the aim to attract a broader audience to your show for entertainment value, DOWNPLAYING these issues to get more of them on your show is REALLY IRRESPONSIBLE OF YOU. You mention Bidens shortcomings in your monologue but clearly downplayed all the reasons why people should not even consider Trump. I definitely do not trust your opinions any more. You are in a tough spot trying to get guest from both sides on your show and for that reason your comments are biased.
Wow. I just lost a lot of respect for this man. I use to watch his show on TV and he came across as a logical, non-bias person. But now: January 6th was just destruction of property? Don't vote for president? Congress doesn't follow the president: just on the right? You admit Trump violated the law and then claim it's all politics? Personally, I think the documents case is the strongest case(not Georgia). Even though it is federal, the National Archives and Records Act is a clear law that is required for all FEDERAL EMPLOYEES to follow. Breaking NARA can result in up to 2 years in prison. It shouldn't be hard to prove: 1. The President is a federal employee. 2. Trump had classified Documents 3. Record-keepers told him to return the documents and he did not, so Trump KNEW he was breaking the law. This is a violation of NARA and Trump, just like every other federal employee should face consequences.
Agree Democrat Congress will support & get things done...I know you don't agree but.. Republican Congress is sick & nonfunctional, right now. Yes, Biden direction may need improvement but, it's what was needed to start the healing in America. What comes next is for us to see. Pray it's for balance & harmony to bring peace to all to move positive forward united.
@@Renteriaryans voting for Trump or Biden is a wasted vote lol, nothing’s gonna change, you’re just feeding into the game. Also, you don’t speak for all independents. Kennedy is winning among independents according to many polls.
I have just unsubscibed from your podcast. If you can't help your viewers to not vote for Trump, you are not worth anything. Trump is evil and this election, there is no choice.
>Evil Lmao. Okay dude. I bet you called every GOP guy before Trump the same thing when they ran for office. Mitt Romney is praised now for being anti-Trump and "sane" but I specifically remember people accusing him of wanting women back in chains and subservient to men because he was Mormon. Bush gets praised too but I also remember him being called a war criminal and pro-genocide due to his support for Israel and his invasions of the Middle East. Trump is egotistical, arrogant, and he only cares about himself. I won't deny that. But it's 100% recency bias when people treat him like Hitler when he's nowhere close. Also they basically use that line with every GOP politician but since a lot of young people don't remember that, they get gaslit into thinking that Trump was the first "evil" GOP president but really, people have been calling each other that since forever.
I spoke to a guy on the phone a few months back and we talked about the 2024 election. He said he didn't want to vote for either of them and would vote for someone else who runs. I pointed out to him that he'd be throwing his vote away because no third party has ever won the presidency. Not voting for anyone is worthless. Make your vote count. Look at the vice-presidential choices and vote based on which of them you want to see become president because odds are that neither Biden or Trump will live long enough to fulfill another 4 year term. Only 15% of people in the United States live beyond the age of 80, the odds are not in their favor. Harris vs. ?????
An essential conversation you shared with us, Thank you, Chris Cuomo, you added Clarity to this madness & sadness in this world. and yes I intend to vote - not just for president. 👍☮

I am voting for RFK Jr and you should stop telling me not to. I love the brain worm thing , good thing I watched it on Good Doctor show. Laughing. RFK Jr is a good option, he is not angry or confused. Trump is an actor? No experience till he got in.
Linda@DaVincigirl61: lesser of the evils. I don't like any of the candidates bit feel it MORE important to keep Trump out of office. God help us he gets another 4 years.
I'm with you Chris!! I left the presidential ballot blank the last 2 elections. Plan to do the same this year. Never again will I vote for the lesser of 2 evils. Thanks for your imput

Guy quite literally said "we need to get rid of 70% of Palestinians", Chris. Say "they didn't wipe them out" about the Holocaust and then reapply your g3nocide definition; the percentage of Palestinians that have been killed is very high already, especially considering how many of them were children. Just... Objectively speaking. I am not defending terrorists and believe that we have allowed them to control Palestine for far too long but when Bibi announced his final solution it did in fact sound like g3nocide.
There is no such place called Palestine, never was, never will be, and ... how are these Arabs "Palestinians" when my own grandmother, a Jew, was a "Palestinian' in the late 1930s. NO SUCH THINGS EXIST. You are speaking thru your bungyhole
Trump had 4 years and Biden will have 4 years by November. Who did a better job on the economy, border security, foreign policy and fighting crime? It is as simple as that.
You make a great point. When democrats controlled all three houses, the division in the party became quite apparent. No real spending bills were passed until Republicans took control of the house. Which I found very interesting.
That’s what I did last election. In my state it changes nothing anyway, it always goes blue. I didn’t want to be forced to go against my values in one way or the other.
"The truth is enough" is something I wish everyone would work on. I'm so tired of all the hyper politicized exaggerating and BS just to make people mad at the other side.
Can’t stand CNN but Chris has always been real. The way he gut checked Vlad from Robinhood was still one of my favorite moments in TV history. I became a fan that day and it’s only grown since
BS. He and that other freak on CNN shamed people who didn't get the "vaccine" and said they should be second class citizens. Both are big pharma whores and now he has seen the light so to speak because it affected him personally.
How about him bullying anyone who mentioned ivermectin and now he's actually an announced he's using it himself? How about him now dunking on the jab but he was towing the government line not too long ago? He's nothing but a puppet.
More focus on local elections. It's painful how many people don't know who their elected officials are. Look up your county, & research the crap out of the pols, candidates, judges, board members, or anyone else, who will appear on the ballot. It's not difficult to do research on their stances and policies.
I don't like either choice. I've listened to Bobby kennedy, Jr. I listened to him here on your show Chris. And i've listened to many other interviews. I like kennedy. I will vote for kennedy. Because a vote for kennedy is a vote for kennedy. Half the country hates Biden. The other half hate Trump. I don't know of anyone who hates kennedy. So I wouldnt say stay home and don't vote. I would say it's time to vote for an independant. And RFK, Jr is the right independant. And the right time is Now.
Much Respect to CUOMO I've casually be watching him and, in my opinion, the best thing for him was to be fired from CNN as they are trash. and with every video I watch I respect him a touch more ......
Chris, the problem I have with Trump on January 6 is that he got that crowd worked with his words. He knew they had weapons, and he still kept working them up. Once he told them to go, "Fight like Hell." I saw him underneath a canopy watching, and he looked HAPPY! Everyone underneath that canopy was watching. Not all were happy, but some were. Trump wasn't in the Oval Office the whole time as some people have testified.
Presidents alone can not make changes, we live in a democracy not dictatorship, it's congress/senators/council members that shape things around us. So, in the end does it really matter 100% who the president is?
I completely agree with you. However, I would like people to listen more to RFK Jr., and understand his integrity and values, as he has deep constitutional knowledge, the environment, health, and education, and I can't see anyone on the same level as him in the presidential race. for the Kennedy's were born with this impetus and natural gift for justice and transformation through it, as this means ethics.⚖️❤️🌟🍀
Hi Chris, I have been trying to decide what do you myself about voting. I have always voted, but like many people I don't want either candidate. I actually thought about not voting at all. However, I realize not voting is not the answer. Your suggestion to not vote for president only, maybe a great answer. I was watching Newsnation with Geraldo Rivera, he said u were aling, I wish you well, I pray nothing serious. Take care of yourself. Sandy
Do vote for Bobby .Because 90% of these votes are going to be pre-concluded. I live in Alabama and I am proudly voting for Bobby. I doubt I vote for a single other down-ballot. Like the democrat is going to in a senate seat? NOPPE. But Im here for a contested election, every vote not for trump is that much closer to breaking this idiot system.
I will be voting for Kennedy 🎉 He is our best bet at better America. He has many awesome policies, he is wicked smart, and he has the temperment for it! #TakeBackOurCountry #RFKJ24
Robert K Jr is a good, solid choice. He’s an environmentalist lawyer and will be instrumental in identifying the true culprits and doing something about it. At least the White House will be a funny place again, Cheryl will be there.
5:14 executive orders are based on policy and Biden didn’t agree with those policies, such as the border wall because, as he said in the past, in his political (policy) view technologies are more effective. I know this is a very summarized comment for obvious reasons - I won’t type all day but Biden was hoping for Legislation which should have passed by Congress because it would have provided more comprehensive and enduring solutions by addressing underlying issues and providing necessary resources. However, executive orders can still play a role in shaping policy priorities and guiding administrative actions in the absence of legislative changes. Biden was hoping for legislation and it was almost there. But as you know citizen trump influenced the republicans to not pass legislation written by a very conservative senator. Remember the state of he union and which senator nodded his head in agreement with Biden? Yeah that’s who.
