Japanese Sony Nextorage m.2 nvme SSD is by far the greatest nvme SSD there is for PS5...literally obliterates all other ssd's & its only about $100 for 2TB
No problem! Glad you liked it! It seems people enjoy these videos so we will probably do some more tests with some more drives as well but it does seem that as long as the drive has at least the recommended speed that Sony claims it needs then they are are within milliseconds of each other! Basically you can’t go wrong with almost any SSD over 5,500MB/s and might as well just get what’s ever on sale at the size you are wanting.

In-between the screen tests, been using my own internal SSD to scan all of the collectibles in the background. The Inferno one was pretty quick, but the Feral SSD was the clear winner here. Love all of the N64 representation! Great job with the SSD test, guys! And congrats AKA Sean!

so I am only 18 seconds in but I agree I think only mechanical drives fall under that the bigger the size the longer it takes. Cause it has to spin. a flash drive based memory is bound to the speed it is rated for and cache it has.
the fact the 4tb and the 500GB are the two leading proves it is more based of the binning of the memory than anything else. it kind of tosses the theory out that the larger it is the slower it is.
Yep, I completely agree. These test are always fun just to see the outcome. Even if they are neck and neck. The results here really speak to the fact that a smaller drive isn't faster, though. Hope all is well my friend. Love all the stuff you're doing on your channel and love to see the growth
You would think so. We were surprised how many people believed size differences changed the speed outcome in our first video and had many ask what the size difference was between all the SSDs. That is why we followed up with this as many believe the bigger sizes will have less speed
Love these tests. It's amazing how far storage has come. I remember back in college I bought a 4gb drive for like $100 and that was some serious storage.
