Just had to replace my Soundcore Liberty Air 2 as they died after 2 years (battery in the case). Got these today and the sound is fantastic, an actual upgrade from the Liberty Air 2s. And the noise cancellation works really well. As a bonus, the EQ settings "stick" with the earbuds even after putting them in their case. The Liberty Air 2 would forget their EQ settings when turned off and had to be re-set every time I used them (tried 2 pairs and same issue).
Thanks for the terrific review Kenneth! I just ordered the P40i's, so looking forward to hearing them! Thanks for pointing out the most annoying and curious thing about Soundcore products with EQ in the app. The sound out of the box is so lousy compared with what you can achieve with EQ! They must feel that most listeners want a muddy bass centric sound because that's where the Signature sound always sits. My concern is that anyone who bases their opinion of the sound on that, is not going to give Soundcore much of a chance. Many (unlike me) aren't interested in using the app and are stuck with that muddy start up sound. And probably wont ( understandably) give Soundcore a fair chance. But other than that, they provide great value for the money spent! Lots of great features with these as well. The open ears look pretty nice as well 😊
Thanks so much for sharing! I really do think it's worth getting at least one time setup in the app, and then forget about it haha but yes aside from sound generally they offer great value for the money!
@@Just_Haider_ Out of the box they are pretty bassy and muddy as I mentioned, but if you tweak the EQ with the app they can be greatly improved. That being said , they are indeed bassy earbuds. I've switched them out often with my Soundcore A3i's and am impressed by the more balanced sound of those. Not as bassy in general and some nice clarity across the board. If your priority is clarity I would actually suggest those instead. That being said ,the P40i's are a fun listen overall😊
05:13 i think you can disable it with turn off the "ANC personalized to ear canal" switch on ANC mode. The notification is still there, but you still can hear your music running on background, just like when you switch to transparency mode.
Oh so that was the case! I usually leave these features on without thinking Thank you so much for the information! Hopefully this will help more people 🙏
I was hoping to like my aerofit pros more than my shokz, but didn’t. I found the shokz way more comfortable to wear and I appreciated the simple design, still the best solution for me for open ear. Wasn’t the upgrade I was hoping for so sent the aerofit pros back.
@@rasheedbedri I Have small ears. Most Earbuds of this Type, have the Head (of the Earbuds) Big. How do this fit in the ear? How is the Wind Reduction, Noise Cancellation and Call Quality on this?
@@namedkenn would you mind to make a real usage comparison for p40i and L4NC? Like battery life, ANC, microphone and transparency mode? Thanks in advance.
I've been using the P40i for about 3 weeks now. Not impressed at all. Sound quality is ok, but the NC, windnoise reduction etc are not very good. I like the phone stand feature and battery life though.
@@namedkenn I had a lot of earphones over the last 20 years. These are OK for the price. The honor magic earbuds for example offer better ANC at a similar price (in my region). Don't get me wrong, the are OK. ANC is just very inconsistent. I don't think they are exceptional value fur their price.
@@E620SE thanks for getting back! I'm really just curious and thus really appreciate your reply, actually my use case doesn't involve a lot of wind so thank you for sharing!
@@namedkenn yeah, with wind the behavior is getting really weird, hard to use them outdoor. But also indoors the ANC is switching regularly even though I set it in manual
Hi kenneth, lately i've been watching your videos repeatedly to decide which earbuds to buy, but still cant decide. Would you recommend some budget earbuds with good sound quality that have ip rating because most of the budget earbuds doesnt seems to have ip rating.
Kenneth, my headphone guru, helps! My CC Nano is in trouble, since I'm credited with the seller, I was eyeing the new KEY PRO but since I'm from Brazil, I can't find any information about it, and I don't understand some languages either; have you ever taken a look at them? Big hug!
@@emeraldfurqon378 i have soundcore v30i, i can barely tell it exists on my ear. I really love them. You can hear everything outside as if you dont have them, but when you listen to something, its crystal clear. I didn't feel like it is missing something. I liked the mic as well.
Does the Google Fast Pair actually work? On my 4NC it doesn't quite work, I.e. A phone can't "steal away" the connection, once you're connected with a phone that's it you can't switch unless you disconnect manually or put the tws in pairing mode.
You should definitely review some budget sleep buds, you know, those you can use while sleeping or lying sideways and they don't hurt your ears when you do so. Thought this video was such but....
Any suggestions to start? So far I'm not aware there's any specialized sleep buds aside from Bose and Soundcore And no I don't talk about how they feel when sleeping because mostly you can tell from the shape: - Pill shaped and thinner ones are usually more comfortable - Stem styled ones will be a bit more uncomfortable - Earhooks will be the most uncomfortable, still usable tho if your pillow is soft
Unfortunately, other than those from Bose, Souncore, etc. which are quite expensive, there doesn't seem to be any decent cheap options. The only ones I have seen are some unknown brands like my dots and even some brandless ones in Aliexpress. But I have been hesitant in trying them out.
I need to find a good pair of earbuds, that don't require some new app. For some reason, most updated apps refuse to run on my slightly outdated phone.
@@namedkenn Thank you Kenn! I missed that video. Thank you so much! Btw, do you think those buds will stack up to my Soundpeats Mini in terms of sound? I'm replacing mine because my Mini's battery is so degraded, I can't even take a few second call without the left bud draining from being fully charged
Hi Ken, did P40i had an update which fixed the 5 sec delay when switching to ANC while music is on? And also game mode still cannot be assigned to shortcut?
Pling bgus mang aerofit pro ya om....?tp blm rilis sptnya, taw adanya cm offline aja.....?btw, spt yg udah², review yg mantab...makasih.... Edit:maap komennya pas videonya blm abis....🙏🏽🙏🏽
To be honest, sound quality is to everyone's preference. There's no forcing you to buy anything else if you're enjoying your current buds (and those WM02 are pretty good too), so enjoy! 😁
Thank you for showing the p40i without their eartips. I have weird ears and need to get 3rd party tips to make them fit. Recently got the Anker Liberty 4 NC and those have a strange flange at the base of the nozzle where the tips go, and it's made it rather frustrating finding 3rd party tips that fit. (Gone through about $70 worth of SpinFit tips trying to make them work) I may go with these as these look like they'll fit my spinfit tips. Can't seem to find a pair of earbuds that want to fit anymore.
Well nevermind they still have that weird flange. I will say they do have a lot of room for other eartips. Even a flanged eartip from SpinFit fit both in the case and my ears. Was definitely impressed by that extra room the case had.
That’s pretty good for a wireless earbuds, cause you know even wired and phone speaker has like 50-100ms latency? Check out my video here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0OhIYQr64PE.htmlsi=qEPDbE84AlSGrJ8A
I don't know why people think you can sleep on this earbuds. They stick out of the ears, even a child knows you break these things. If you want to sleep with earbuds Soundcore has a special line called Sleep A10, Noise Blocking Earbuds for Sleeping. They don't stick out so you won't break them.
