Let us know how it turns out! My UDR (Fox edition) is suppose to be delivered next week and I'm planning on doing the same with Shoe Goo. I did this on my X-Maxx body and it's holding up great after 2 1/2 years! Best mod for bodies so far...

Just painted new body for my Arrma big rock to match my '97 Chevy Z71 1500. I also built several ramps in my backyard to bash, so definitely gonna beef up the body.

Lined my Honcho body when I first got it, with a layer of Gorrilla MAX.And flex tape along the bottom door panel like "rock guard".

hey there kevin, kevin here,,, from southern California i love rcs they make me feel like a kid... on my shells i use truck bed liner .... i use the kind u paint on with a brush ...its fast, super easy and se ems practically indestructable and if u just put it on the inside, from the outside when its finished it looks like a brand new shiney paint job. it is heavy and ive never tried your method. just thought i would throw that out there maybe you can try mine and compare.

I use the new body's as a mold n make my own out of fiber glass sheets there awesome.. takes a lil time but worth it

Your internet is slow,...I dont think its the camera phone although I do prefer the late model Samsung ohones. Do you have your own private hard wire connection in your building? You can then get or add a repeater to extend your wireless connection to your workshop. I use the Arlo wireless repeater brand and it works great to extend range. Simple to setup, use, and reliable. You can buy just one repeater or buy multiple repeaters to link them together should you are far from the base router....Start with one and see how works out.. Good luck!

Drywall tape and shoe goo isn't the only way to modify your shells you can use Nashua 357 tape as well it is an industrial tape used in metal fabrication I have used it on my rc cars and I have yet to break any of them plus it makes them 10x more flexible after I applied it to by bodie shells I stepped on it and folded it in half and every time it sprung back to its original version.

Just bought a xmaxx 8s!! I just did this same thing to my body. I used silicone instead of shoe goo. A full tube is 3$ and is the same thing. Hot glue gun is a must. Can't wait to see how it works...

I just spray the inside of my body’s with liquid plastic or rhino liner or rock guard it turns the body pretty solid after

Shoe Goo drys a very flexible rubber like finish not hard plastic like finish that would crack easy, that's why shoe goo is the best and you can buy it at a Dollar General in the US and probably other dollar stores.
