Sounds like he can afford a Hellcat if he's bringing home 2k a week. HOWEVER.......if he doesn't have a garage I wouldn't recommend ANY type of Mopar. Regardless of the trim level it will just get stolen.

You said it yourself if a Hellcat in your budget get a Hellcat. You said he makes a little over 2K a week putting him over 8K monthly. He can definitely pay for it. Don't know why you are so strongly advising against it if he can clearly afford it.
Why didn’t you mention to him to wait ? Prices could possibly go down by the end of the year due to Dodge struggling to sell these cars. He can possibly get a good deal on a hellcat around the summer or fall than settle a scatpack for 65K, that’s a horrible deal.
