You might be able to injure them when their belly is exposed, slightly, but they can kill you in a single swipe. They can break the neck of a bull with only one hit. They are as powerful as any ape and we are the weakest of all apes.

@idoj654123 well. It depends on the circumstances of said captivity. These are rescue animals, unable to be released. Most predatory or any animal for that matter must maintain a large territory in order to feed itself. Due to the food being provided, the need to roam for miles dissappears. Animals naturally will stay near an abundant food source to spend less energy getting their food. If the animals have what they need, even in a small space - a pond, grass etc- there is no reason for them not to have a good life. In order to support these facilities, funds must be raised, therefore paying visitors. Now, if some piece of shit goes of and kills a lion for fun then keeps the cubs for a vanity project, I would argue they are over compensating for a small dick.

Weird that my cat does the same thing when I scratch him near that area . Near his cheeks or around his throat and chin . Except his leg goes really fast lol. I think it hybermates so feeding it would be a seasonal cost. You have me thinking there may be advantages to a pet/livestock that hybermates. I know some snake people keep animals that brumate, but I dont think thats totally the same, and seeing how most snakes go on long hunger strikes anyway, it probly doesn't save any money. Ignoring unmanageable or useless species like ground squirrels and badgers I wonder what other kinds of hybernators are out there. Time to go down a rabbit hole, maybe litteraly.

I think that's a common husky thing. I had a malamute mix and he'd try to bite the brush if it got near his extra furry hind parts, and I know several other people who've said the same. I would trim the fur around my dog's behind so it made grooming easier, and I'd stand with him between my legs facing the other direction, hook one arm under his belly to hold him up, and brush while he tried nonstop to sit so I couldn't brush there anymore lol. He fought getting his butt brushed all the way through his 16 years. Never gave in and let it happen once. I'm not sure if it's a male thing, most of the people with huskies I know have/had males.
