Humor makes us laugh for two reasons.... because it is humorous, or because it’s a touch uncomfortable. There’s a lot in this skit that makes us increasingly antsy as we empathize with Ron. His jerk of a boss, getting called out in front of a room of strangers, the dogged persistence of the janitor, Ron getting blamed for the janitor disrupting things... it builds a sense of panic and anger.

That part where Ron said it's for sales associates only, and the janitor's tragically funny reply of "It's food" got me a little bit. I've actually seen that conversation between guests and obviously hungry cleaning staff at a hotel on more than one occasion. There's always truth in good comedy (unfortunately in this case).

@Log Splittawell nothing is impossible, I think that it he had just told him once and grabbed his hand when he tries to take the bagel, he would understand and if not let him take one and tell the boss that you tried to stop him but he stole it from you. Since the boss has seen it he probably won't fire him.
