Don McDonald DFC was a pilot with the RAAF as part of Bomber Command during WW2. He flew a tour of 40 operations in Handley Page Halifax aircraft in 578 Squadron RAF, then volunteered for a second tour with 466 Squadron. The war ended after he had completed his 41st operational Sortie.
