Nunslaughter playing Hawaii has me picturing them playing on a small stage on the beach all wearing Sodom and possessed swim trunks with flip flops on 😂😂
When Don mentioned Jims kindness it reminded me of something. Me and a friend were at a Nunslaughter show. I forget the year but I think it was Hellwitch. One of the Hells headbangers guys complimented my Watain shirt with purple logo. Anyway, Jim asked us where we were from and we traveled about 5 hrs to the show. He asked if we needed a place to crash. Not sure if he was joking or not but we told him that we already had a motel room. He also asked if we had a special song request for the show, I said Jewrusalem he said "Fuck!" I dont think our guitarist knows that one. Lol Jim took us out to his car gave us Nunslaughter flyers and some discs of other local bands . He was definitely 1 of a kind.
Good scene out here in maui. Doing a fest called VOLCANIC STRIKE HAWAII sept 30th with a bunch of headsplit and relapse bands. Heavy fuckinnnn metal!!!!
@@baruch.hashem.7x77 Proud to say I once carried on a 12 post conversation with guitarist Rick Rozz, we covered a diverse and broad-ranging variety of topics, such as: Pantera's Cowboys From Hell, Dairy Queen menu items, "the current state of Metal", Van Damme vs Segal, Slim Jim's and Macho Man Randy Savage, who we BOTH agreed was the perfect spokesman for such an iconic American product.
When is part 3 ??? And hopefully some more interviews in the future . Checkout J Dawg's interview with Regurgitation on either Reaper Metal Productions, or the Relics Records? Hellcast????? It was on one of Reapers RU-vid channels anyway
I heard about Cliff Burtons death the next day too..How the hell did that news travel so fast? I heard it on my birthday exactly one day after his death.
I found it used and immediately picked it up just from seeing the cover! It was mind blowing when I first heard it! As a kid seeing kiss covers I was expecting kiss to sound like carcass haha
Nunslaughter are one of the most unique sounding bands in existence. They sort of remind me of a Death Metal Impaled Nazarene. Although I consider early Impaled Nazarene sort of like 1980s Death Metal. Vital Remains started out as a Retro style Death Metal. Demonic Christ , also Acheron along with Nunslaughter and Sadistic Intent are as good as it gets
It's cool hearing Mr. Dead talk about punk. I'm 40 and from the West Coast of FL. I knew of the death metal bands across the bridge, but skating and punk/hardcore was way bigger in my area. Only the antisocial fruitcakes who hung around trees were into metal. I liked Metallica, Maiden, and a few other metal bands, but didn't heavily get into it until I was about 18 or 19.

Bad Religion is a band that while they have a poppy punk sound, their lyrics and song writing is some of the smartest and we'll written lyrics ever in that genre.
I wouldn't exactly describe their sound as Pop Punk. It's got hooks, but the Vocals aren't really nasal and whiny like most Pop Punk singers. I can't stand Pop Punk, but I can tolerate Bad Religion. I am not big on Punk Rock and Alternative music though. I just prefer more Occult than politics
Bad Religion is somewhere between Social Distortion and the early hardcore punk scene -- Germs, Dead Kennedys, Minor Threat, etc. They have little in common with Green Day and Blink 182. In fact, I'd say that goes for most early Epitaph bands -- The Offspring, Pennywise, Rancid, TSOL, etc.
@@humanbrisket7718 crass is for vegan hippies that think they're going to make a change while living comfortably in a western country. That's canoe AF.
