Don Peebles on Billion Dollar Real Estate Lessons & NYC's First Black Owned Skyscraper 

My life changed too when I started doing this and putting money in stocks. The first few years it as really great, but this year I haven't felt like my portfolio is doing well. I have lost more than $40,000 from my portfolio the past four months, and it's now very worrisome.

I sold a couple properties in 2020 and I'm waiting for a house crash to happen so I buy cheap. In the meanwhile, I've been looking at stocks as an alt., any idea if it's a good time to buy? I hear people say it's a madhouse and a dead cat bounce right now but on the other hand, I still see and read articles of people pulling over $225k by the weeks in trades, how come?

This is one of the best EYL interviews I have listened to. Prior to this I had never heard of Don Peebles and I am deeply intrigued and inspired.

This has been incredibly inspirational. Thank you for having Mr. Peebles on your show. I first came across the man on CNBC in 2008 and I am glad that from that time till now he is still setting a wonderful example in terms of black excellence.

Awesome gentleman. The advice he gave me in person about 10 yrs ago what stay on the path i was on. I went back to school and got my masters in real estate development and a masters in construction. Im now VP of Development and Construction for an acquisitions firm in Miami. He may build the tallest in NYC but I will build the best ever in Miami and Im black too. I love this guy

Personally I'd really love to own real estate properties as well as REITs, I've been informed of people making as much as $30,000 from these investments and If anyone could be lenient enough to share, I'd really love clue and tips on how to maximize profit

Developers provide opportunities for so many other roles in the business (brokers, lenders, architects, engineers, GC’s, etc.) and we need more black developers.

As a Korean American real estate professional who comes from a family of poverty and no real estate ownership in my family, I am so grateful to have stumbled upon this interview after listening to Brandon Rule speak so highly of Don Peebles. So much knowledge that’s applicable in this interview. If I can share, my goal is to establish my personal real estate portfolio through Multifamily investing to then provide the blueprint to others who also come from nothing but have the burning desire to build a life full of purpose. I believe the most of us have the innate calling to help and provide for others but aren’t able to because of our own lack in resources, especially the financial. The rat race keeps us worrying about a lot of issues that can be alleviated by leveraging capital. There’s no voice in the Asian community that speaks with such economical and social prowess to the magnitude Don Peebles speaks with. I love how his business ventures are rooted in fundamental economics but with a social component to provide opportunity to the disadvantaged. Many people in the Asian community are business savvy but only care about their and their family’s personal gain. I aim to change that but until then Don Peebles, you are my North Star sir. If there’s any way I can be a part of this movement, I’m down. And if there’s any others out there who are also looking to be the one who changes course of poverty for their friends, family’s, and community’s, I’d love to connect with you as well. I respect mr pebbles for all of the work he has done over the years and this project is special and historic that being said we have a very serious problem with black homeownership homelessness that and other issues we have to start focusing and addressing this problem with all due respect how many blacks will be able to afford staying there im just saying again im proud of all of the black business men and women getting together and making history and it inspires me to God's will one day be able to start building black communities not neighborhoods all over the United States

Great gems. This interview positioned Don Peebles as being very pro black that it surprised the heck out of me to discover that he married and built a family with a white woman. Nothing wrong with interracial relationships but I would have assumed differently based of of this interview.
