I met Don Rickles once. He called me a baked potato and said I didnt even have butter. It was among the finest moments of my life.

He can still roast anybody like no other. He will destroy you and your pride and you will still laugh about it all the way to the end. 89 yo folks... That's one hell of a career.

I feel ashamed for not knowing about Don Rickles until now and I'm 28. I just found a video of him while listening to the great Frank Sinatra and had to see who he was and I'm so glad I did. Better late than never though right?

I had the pleasure of meeting Don a couple years ago. We talked briefly and he heckled be at first. It was a great honor to be picked on by one of the greats. As we talked I realized that he was such a very kind, sweet and gentle man and was so full of life. RIP.

I absolutely love Don Rickles, the man is still sharp as a tac and can really deliver. It's just nice to see him compliment Jimmy in so many ways, and for Don to want to come on the show and show Jimmy that kind of respect makes me feel really great for what you guys are doing with The Tonight Show. I know that Mr. Johnny Carson would be proud of what you're doing with the show.

Jimmy takes the jokes at his expense well too, Don Rickles is like everyone's funny grumpy grandpa, he can get away with saying whatever he wants and the youngsters just nod their heads politely out of respect all the way hoping they get to live as long and have a long career like Don has had.

I was on the show in 1978 when Don Rickles was a guest Host as Johnny was on vacation. I was there wearing my Dutch wooden shoes, Don is funny man.

I hope, if he's still around by 2017 (Let's Hope) Don Rickles returns as Mr. Potata Head (You should get what I mean) in toy story 4. Toy Story was a Huge part of my childhood (Its the first movie I ever saw) and it wouldn't be the same without him. I also grew up watching the Dean Martin roasts he was a part of. Also, you can just see the pain he's in, it makes me so sad that he's at the age where he could pass very soon and I feel like if he goes, I've lost a part of my childhood
