Thank you for this video. good points. As a retired man from the states, I was tired of the high cost of living. I was also alone as my family moved on to live thier lives in different states. There was no connection to women in the US anymore, so i decided to try Southeast Asia. I have never been happier and I appreciate you talking about this, Mark.

Thanks for the message. I am 62 and stopped working last November due to corporate pressure and caring for my wife (Filipino) of 36 years who was going through a second cancer diagnosis. We lost our only son in 2020 and are now empty nesters since 2010 when he went to college. We own our own house but finding it difficult to meet the needs with this hyperinflation. Waiting until election results before we make any decisions but will keep your suggestions in mind.

I’m 39 and it’s all happened to me. I am invisible, even to women my own age or younger. Flash over to SE Asia and EVERYONE smiles and engages. This alone is worth moving overseas for.

Really doesn't bother me at all...I love being "Invisible"...I have my family in Philippines & until I return this fall...I'm okay...I have my chihuahua dog, my TV, car, my daughter in California...& I'm very healthy for 73! I'm cool...plenty of $$$ from VA/SS...😅

The Filipino seniors in the US have weekend get togethers typically based on the region where they come from here. Dancing, singing and eating. Been to some in LA when I was there in the 80s which I saw buzzing with energy.

Let's just say it, no one is interested in an older person unless they have money, or want something from them. People will offer a lot of platitudes to the contrary, but that's the way it is these days. Blessed is the retired person who has hobbies to keep himself engaged, and doesn't rely on others to be happy.

Yep I got that big curse hanging over my head. You know the drill. I'm up on my feet just fine though. But I can't sell my beautiful Corvette or my highly modified Camaro for nothing. My nice toy hauler that I live in. Same thing. Corrupt authorities won't even let me drive my beautiful cars anymore. God damn. I feel like I'm damned. I got the money but it looks like I'll probably be losing tens of thousands of dollars just to get rid of my stuff. Unreal. I'm a slave stuck here on the side of this mountain. I wasn’t remotely miserable but I often felt alone. I can rent out my 550K Ca studio condo in NB FOR $2500 per month! Cut my expenses in half and to 1/3 in SE Asia. Hey Mark. How are you doing? Good video. I am sure you got some guys thinking out of the box that they are in. For myself... and I always speak only for myself, I am very content solo. I actually welcome invisible... just being a face in the crowd and no expectations. In the States it was very easy to do. It is not so hard here in SE Asia either. I enjoy traveling and exploring more than I ever enjoyed being a partner. I love solitude. I am rejuvenating my battery so to speak. A lot of things to do here. Don't let your happiness rest on finding someone else. It probably won't end well. If you need help better to get a caretaker than trying to get a partner. That is what I will do if I get in that situation in the future. I absolutely know I don't have much time left. The clock is always ticking... diba? Point is ... get in a situation YOU enjoy, not one that you see in videos. What do YOU want? Something to Think about.

I drive all night every night . Meet new people all the time . Driving rideshare has been the best thing possible. Earn macho mucho pesos for a safety factor financial security. Can also rent out your house in America for extra passive income beyond their social security retirement.Also it’s not in the law, it’s the culture.

You give hope to a lot of elderly who feels hopeless in life in their own country. US is not the only country to live and retire.

I’m 76 and have never been ignored. I’m not afraid to say hi to anyone and try to start a conversation. I do have P500,000 a month so I’m not bashful.

When our children can take care of themselves the wife and I will be spending a lot of time in her hometown of Cebu. After I retire . Hopefully will be visiting 2025 or 26.

People should take your advice . America is not a great place for Seniors unless you're rich . Just my opinion.
