Bryan is an American economist at George Mason University, and the New York Times best selling author of many books, including The Myth of The Rational Voter, Selfish Reasons To Have More Kids, The Case Against Education, Open Borders: The Science and Ethics of Immigration, and most recently, Don't Be A Feminist. He's also the editor in chief writer for the blog Bet On It and has published in the New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, and many more publications. In this episode, we discuss anarcho capitalism, and how we will work in our society. It’s so nice to finally hear someone articulate these points. I’ve felt them my whole life but grew up in a bubble where it was heresy to even speak them.

There’s certainly much unfairness in the world. I’d really like it if we could address things that we think are unjust against men AND women, without going directly to in a generalized way bitching about how women are and how men are. In my personal life, whether it’s my female friends complaining about men or my male friends complaining about women, though they both may have a point somewhere in there, I think it’s both really tiring and not constructive. Making jokes about it though is fun, but that’s something else.☺️

His views are solipsistic - just because he doesn't have a problem with e.g. a woman being a doctor, doesn't mean that this is the majority opinion. It might not even be an opinion of PC institutions - but it is an opinion of many of the folks who we run into, or who make those decisions about what their daughters will study in school. The decision as to whether a girl will be allowed to study certain topics isn't made at a med school. It's made at home by her parents when she's a child, and by the time she's an adult and has to make a living on her own, it's too late to make up for those years of missed education and to dedicate themselves to decades of study while also working to make a living at a minimum wage job, or being a full-time carer for kids. This is what most women are actually dealing with, and what's being ignored by making these solipsistic arguments that "no one's stopping them."

Imagine insulting, belittling, and being condescending to women, then saying, "Your feelings aren't valid." Gee, I wonder why sane women don't like you. 😂

The definition is what it is. You simply don't like the definition because it makes you look bad.

If the common definition is correct, then most self-identified feminists aren't real feminists and most people who don't identify as feminists are real feminists.
