Check out the first Wayans movie. Im Gonna Git You Sucka (1988) starring Keenan Wayans, , Damon Wayans, Chris Rock. And Marlon and Shawn Wayans were extras in the movie they was only about 16 years old back then.

Its an original but sort of a spoof on old action and blaxploitation films. When you watch it you’ll notice the influence Keenan had on Marlon and Shawn’s movies.

Omar Epps being shot at college was a reference to the movie “Higher Learning” which he actually played in. Omar Epps is the family friend of the Wayans, him and Marlon are best friends.

another spoof movie y’all should check out is “BLACK DYNAMITE” starring Michael Jai White, it’s from 2009 but is based on the black spotation films in the 70s, Preach and Toothpick play in it also

Hey. New sub here. Love your reactions of the hood classics. The scene where the girl turns into a monster on top of the guy is from a movie called Def By Temptation. It came out in 1990. Samuel L. Jackson is in it and Kadeem Hardison from Vampire in Brooklyn. You guys should check it out. P.S. Please watch Set It Off if you haven't already.

Trey's dad was Lahmard Tate not Larenz and they look so much like 😂 i highly recommend if youre looking for a drama, for Larenz, in Why do Fools fall in love and Dead Presidents (thats where the black/white grandma face comes from)

Fun lil known fact, the illustration of black teens having kids at a very young age was being exaggerated with how young Trey's dad looked. Trey was supposed to be older than his father 😂

It’s actually an exaggeration that in Boyz N Tha Hood Lawrence Fishburne’s character Furious was supposed to have had his son at 17 and so was still in his early/mid-20s when Trey came to live with him.
