She's the only sane person in the village. Why would anyone want a rabbits foot? Since people keep saying it, yes, I know rabbits feet are supposed to be lucky. I'm just saying why would anyone want to carry around a dismembered foot?
There's an old superstition that says it's good luck, I guess maybe it was based on that? But otherwise my only other guess is simply because it's a rare-ish item, it would make sense in the Stardew universe

Penny loves poppies. She’s the only villager who loves them. Just grow some next to your bee hives, pick them before the die in the fall and given them to her on her birthday, the 2nd day of fall.
yeah that's exactly what I did. I planted it for my beehive. then I checked the calendar. Took the only flower I have (sunflower excluded) and gave it to her. The best part is I didn't even know it was her loved gift. 😂
I married sebastian and i tell you the process was not fun, waiting in front of his room just for him to get up and leave to the kitchen in 6 hours is hard work

I must say, after marrying Haley I can't go back to Abigail. I have a singleplayer world for me and a multiplayer world for me and my sister. I went for Haley in my singleplayer world, since I wanted to see why so many people love her, and omg, she's the sweetest girl. It feels like a new person honestly. Then I figured that if I went for Haley in my world, I should go for Abby in my multiplayer world, so that's exactly what I did. However, for some reason it wasn't the same, I started to miss Haley, Abigail felt less affectionate and somewhat colder. I had gotten so use to Haley's flirty comments that being with Abigail wasn't as fun as it use to, so after much thinking I realized that the best think to do was divorcing her. I'm sorry Abby fans, lol.
I was going to marry Shane, but then I watched a video about spouses, and his room is full of muddy footprints and empty beer cans. His line when we broke up "I shouldve known" just confirmed my decision.
Don't make the same mistake I did and make all 6 single ladies your girlfriends. It'll come back to bite you. I even wrote a book about it called Playa: A Tale of Woe.
To be fair diamonds aren't actually that rare and while hard have very little purpose. Even spiritually something like amethyst would generally be more useful a rock to the average person. But that quality and cut would certainly fetch a pretty penny IRL
In my first play through I was gonna marry Abigail then I realized penny exists and rushed to marry her and we were married by the end of year 1 by me giving her daffodils and poppys, in my second play through I did the same but didn't rush and married her the second year
I literally had Penny as my first lover as it hit summer, I gave her a poppy on accident and it showed up as a loved gift. So I farmed those poppies all farm long and managed to romance her.

I used to only marry Abigail, but in my current playthrough I went with Maru, and I'm glad I did. I think I prefer her now. Also I timed it so we got married on her birthday, which I think is romantic
Maru is honestly the most underrated character you can marry. Ngl she made me hate Harvey tho because even after marriage he still asks if he should sunscreen her in the creepy way at the laua and her new marriage dialog for that event is telling you he's making her uncomfortable 😭

@@lexa2310 maru is great, and I can accept the idea of Abigail since she has a cool room addition and is at least a somewhat interesting character, but Leah just plain sucks. She has the plainest and most empty room addition to the house, her story isn't very compelling and feels like they just tried to shove the vegetarian artist who lives in the woods cliche at us and threw in a stalker for her to try and drum up interest/sympathy but just made it worse. Leah would have been better in Stardew if instead of being a marriage candidate she ran a store that sold artwork and decorations for your house.

Literally gave her a diamond today in that exact same spot. Tried to get those hearts up before the flower dance but 2 isnt enough apparently. Guy gives u flowers constantly and even a diamond one day n u say no when he just asks for a dance💀
Yes because women are not obligated to do anything for you no matter how much money you spend or how many gifts you give them. Commit that to memory as soon as you can in life and you’ll have a much easier time

She's been raised poor. So, whatever it looks like to the outside, seeing something precious and expensive like a diamond actually being gifted to her, that's something she's never had before. She loves it, not just for the diamond but because of what it means; It represents not only someone considering her worth the price of such an expensive item, but a step forwards in her life away from how she used to live. On the other hand, this is a world where rabbits feet as a lucky charm are somewhat magical, they are proven to work. This is a world where forest spirits exist even if the most people can't see them, where an underground war between creatures has happened in the past, and where the mines are so filled with monsters that there's a branch of an adventurer's guild in town--One that seems to have business across the world. Everyone in Stardew Valley lives in a place where despite modernization and progress and technology, you still have a town witch or wizard, who can do magic, and a rabbit's foot is a lucky charm that can even save someone from dire circumstances. But I'm guessing Penny could either never have one, or when she got one, worse, it didn't work for her. Obviously that someone who still has to be poor and live with the drunk mother, who sees no hope for her future and no way out of her circumstances, obviously she would hate a good luck charm that managed to not save her from this.
I dont simp for anyone but im slightly terrified of the one i married in my first perfection file, Sebastian. Like...my theory is, frozen tears are the tears of the ghosts on the level 50-80, which have frozen overtime since they died. Very wholesome 💀
Hey! Don't be messing with my girl, Penny, like that! That aside, I think she's the only person in the game that actually hates Rabbit's Foot. There's possibly two reasons: - Penny doesn't believe in the luck of a rabbit's foot. OR - It's kinda cruel to see a foot of a rabbit being used in such a way. (Could be both, but who knows, right?) This could only mean one thing: Penny LOVES rabbits.

She appears too uptight about her appearance, I think. As a farmer you'd want someone who isn't afraid of getting their hands dirty. (Hence another reason why Leah is the best choice)
I just give them gifts on their birthday with either a diamond or an Iridium version of their loved item (which mostly is rabbit's foot), give or take 3-4 years, their pretty much eating out of your hand by the end of it.
