I have built things like this in pob. I've gotten 600k armor and pretty good damage tbh. Not worth the investment for the precursors. I also could still crit. So not exactly the same.

@Theyflower I don't have nearly enough experience and knowledge for that. I can make builds that can reach maps. Maybe take out the bosses sometimes. But if I couldn't buy gear I'd be boned.

I kind of play campaign to low maps like that, having previously spent a lot of time in SSF too keep from falling asleep during my x hundredth time through the campaign. Then switch over to a real build when things start getting ugly.

@@user-fg3lt6mo7j I did hear it directly from the PoE twitch 3.23 reveal livestream, I just lacked some brain cells to recognize/remember it's only affecting skill gems... And I also confirmed that wrong belief when I was checking out gcp prices and thought they were unusually high!

Personally I just use eldritch battery + the belt craft that regens 150 es/second while near a rare or unique as a stopgap for any build with mana issues. Devouring diadem is usually not that expensive after the first week or so and it’s a perfectly good helmet for most builds midgame - but you might be able to just take eldritch battery on the tree, depending on how far out of your way it is - usually pretty accessible for ranger/witch.

Let me help you figure out the fundamentals. Do you have 75 all res but chaos. Do you have spell suppression cap or close to it. Are your flasks rolled and 20% quality with used on full charges.

Most Important things are just all resistance but chaos being capped. If you can get gear with chaos and elemental resistance of your choice even better. After that flasks are super important to have the right mods on them. Your flasks are like 25% of your defense and movement speed.

@@MrRaja thanks for some hints. I've got my resistances at 56/75/75...chaos is -36. So I guess that's the next goal. Chaos seems difficult to cap :/ Mana is not an issue with my build. So should I run 2 health and 3 utility flasks? Any mods to aim for? Currently running 3 health, 1 crit, 1 move speed.

Fusing orbs, they look like a figure 8. If you don't have any, but you have a load of the jewellers orbs (for changing the number of sockets on an item), you can go to a vendor (can't remember which one, try 'em all) and simply purchase fusings from them for the price of a bunch of jewellers. Remember though, same as which socket numbers, the more sockets you're trying to make/link the more orbs it will probably take because the chances get smaller and smaller. Adding quality to an item increases the chance a small, but statistically significant amount. Last time I was looking at the estimates, I think it was expected that ON AVERAGE it might take around 1,500 fusings to link all 6 sockets on a 6-socket chest/weapon. I think that number might come down as far as (remembering, this is still averages and you might get very unlucky) maybe like 900-and-something. But it's been a while and I could be mis-remembering that completely. There's been more than one streamer that has spent over 3k fusings and still failed to get their 6-link up and running. Around Tier 11 or 12 maps you should pick up the crafting recipe to instant-force 6 links, and it costs 1,500 fusing orbs.

So for you four links I suggest using the bench it's always cheaper. 4 socket craft and 4 links or 3 as needed. Now your chest piece or two handed weapon or bow that needs 6 links. I still suggest for noobs and new exiles to use the bench for 6 socket (300 jewellers) and 6 link (1500 fusing orbs) because this league every time I tried to six link it took me over 2000+ fusings

Because a 21 early on is easier to get it's a league starter not a über bosser.
