Bought the same pool, mine had instructions stuffed into the sand filter... the instructions were pretty decent, I think there was a RU-vid link there to their page and their basic video. Had the pool 3 sumemers now, havent taken it down once, just drained under the A/B outlets for winter. Some minor rusting that you can just spray paint and it'll last... life span is said to be around 5 year mark, as long as 8, is what I've read.
Oh wow that pool looks cool. It has an attachable heater?!? Wow! It's a worthwhile thing to spend fun time with friends and family. Yes I see how it's so much better on the cement. It was helpful to see the issue of the bowing in before the water came in.
Hi, thanks for the tips. I have a paved slab but it has some cracks. Did you place any padding or barrier between the floor and pavement? Or do you feel like you should have?
I actually thought of that later. We have cut lines in the cement but they are still level If you have any height differences I would put something down to avoid wearing through.
Did you put any pool pad or yo just laid it out on a concrete slab without a pad? Thanks, I bought one, and I have big concrete slab that fits this pool, but Im not sure if I need to put a pool pad. Thanks again
We did not put a pool pad down last year nor did we do it this year and everything is great. Thank you for watching. I hope some of my other videos may help you in the future.
Hi! Just got ours set up and I'm about to put together the filter and whatnot, but I have a question. Can I HANG my heater on my deck rail on the outer face of my rail? Or does it need to be laying flat?
Was this an online Costco purchase? We bought the Bestway pool from our local Costco but they only stock the 12’x20’ oval in the stores. We still love it none the less.
I think we ordered online and picked up at our local Costco Have you seen my other video on how to add a top skimmer. It absolutely saves the day Thanks for watching.
It should be on the play button arrow setting. The two small outlets from the pool T together and enter the heater and then pass through the panel to the pump and into the pool.
I guess I’m not understanding the question there’s the chemical holder that fixes to the inside of the pool and then the Hose from the filter attaches to the outside and that way it pushes water through the chemicals
Hello, thank you for your video! I have a quick question do I have to feel the pool suctioning the water from the inside I only feel it coming out but from the t tubes I can’t feel the water suctioning.. help please!
We cannot feel it going in. My wife felt it today. But we can feel and see it going out Did you watch my video of the added skimmer we put on last year.
@@northwoodsdiscovery6962 ok I was worried about that, thank you so much I did I ordered it on Amazon so I’m going to be putting it in as soon as I get it!
Will it not turn on unless I plug it into the wall ? Mine does not reach the wall so I grabbed a extension but it will not turn on what can I do if the pool is set up all the way and full.
If it’s in total sun and used the whole time the filter is running then it gets too warm and you must use the pool more often and add more chlorine otherwise water turns green.
@northwoodsdiscovery6962 probably have to fiberglass the outside while it's full of water to keep it shape then use the water to water plants then fiberglass the inside should be as stiff as a fiberglass shower or boat hull to go over kill to get a rebar ring to go around the rim of the pool for structure or hold the pool in shape to act like if the pool is full of water then fiberglass everything again
Thank you for the reply. Not sure how much but one side looks like how it is when filling up water half way. A bit less tho. We had another pool smaller but no pro with that one
How often do you change the water 😅 I know it’s a silly question but just wanted to know how often we should drain and fill it up again? Just bought it ten mins ago
@@NoLoveII so we drain ours two times every summer you don’t have to unless the green is keeping ahead of you instead of you keeping ahead of the algae if you have enough people swimming in it and have it filtering a lot and have enough chlorine you should never have to drain it actually
Yes, we did this year when we put the top of the water pool skimmer on it I have a video on here about that cut way down on the bottom, vacuuming Also, the water is getting too warm and getting green faster with the warmer heating pad
I guess I don’t understand the question We just take the hose from the suction like it would be going through to the pump and we attach it to the skimmer instead and then that goes to the pump. I hope that makes sense.
Sorry, I thought this was the video of the skimmer that we bought and put on an addition to what they send look on my channel for adding a skimmer to this pool. It is so amazing and your pool stays crystal clean. I hope that video explains everything.
Hmmm. It depends how out of level your driveway is the patio that we have it on the cement needed to slope just for runoff the rest of the year so it’s on a patio that slants 1 inch within 12 feet and it still works fine.
@@northwoodsdiscovery6962 Ok Just got my pool is there a way you recommend on how to check the pitch on my concrete driveway to determine if I’ll need to try and level it before installing my Pool.
It takes a while to get warm since we use hose water, which is 52° coming out of our well We used the sol blanket that came with it the first year the one that pumps the water through it the second year we did not because it got too warm and we green up too fast Check out my video on here about the pool skimmer that we hook up instead of the warming pad
Are you talking about the bowed sides? It seems simple but once I had concerns and put this on here there are so many people that were like me and had the same thoughts. I see it is simple now though. Thanks so much for watching.
Most cities will hand out meters for the summer season so that you can hook up your hose to it if you are watering lawns and or filling pools. That way you don't pay for the sewage portion of your water bill for that amount used outside. Just in case this helps.
I am so sorry. Costco takes back anything. I would call and see if they take back the whole pool set or if they would just get you a new filter system.
Bro ..I set the pool up in 3 hours with my brother and it was super easy...But FUUUUUUUUCK the pool cover... It is impossible to install. There is no way that the cover fits that pool.
BEFORE YOU BUY.. ***READ THIS*** The least amount of "Pool" for the highest price possible. Just keep in mind.... **Costco** will NOT offer any help or returns once you've purchased this pool! "Bestway" will not replace parts and has limited supply of extra parts. FACT: Filter/pump WILL BE discontinued within 2 years to prepare for next model) Pool(Oval shape) is very difficult to level if not placed on PERFECTLY level ground. Winter COVER DOES NOT FIT!!! Side filter intakes ONLY remove underwater 'minor' debris, while the previous models filter removed the top skim layer, thus removing 70-80% more debris. Pump is 1/4 smaller than previous pool of same volume.... why? Synopsis: My elderly in-laws had bought this hoping it was as good as previous models but this will be the LAST pool Bestway/Costco scams us on.
you are correct on the cover. we threw it away. We bought a skimmer for 20 $ and it keeps the pool so clean. we have ours on a cement slab that has only a 2 in pitch in 24 feet so its perfect. We have put it up 2 or 3 years now. I hope to get 2 more years out of it. We bought on sale for 700$ instead of 1100$
There's no skimmer! That wand with a basket isn't a skimmer. A skimmer is built into the side of the pool and allows leaves and bugs and floating crap to get sucked off the top. Who the heck designed this shitbox pool without one?
