Don't buy Daikin inverter aircon - PCB problem! 

Apparently so but this is due to the installer not fixing the live wire :(

and I have the fancy expensive ones, not the value models. Stick to Mitsubishi

So sad to hear that. If it is an inverter unit, probably due to the wiring.

The cause is the installer not putting in the ground wire, thus causing an electrical fault after a year. The Daikin servicemen says that it is particular to Daikin Aircon units only so a lot of installers don't do it.

Around $200 USD. I would rather buy a new air-con unit since that's almost half the price.

I am sorry to hear that. If it is not under warranty, just buy a new air-con. My Sharp air-con seems to be doing quite well. 😊

It took Daikin 3 months to repair the aircon. Of course I needed another 😝

This is the official Daikin repairman though and I think they only do the replacement of the entire PCB board.
