Dave, occupied Japan stamped on china is the time period that the US occupied Japan after WWII. So that's about 1945-1952, and these items are all stamped occupied Japan because the US was only there a short time occupying. Worth more than Made in Japan

A revival, aided by support from the United States, manufacturers began creating ceramic knickknacks for sale to the American soldiers stationed in Japan. Thousands of inexpensive figurines and decorative pieces were exported to the United States and other countries in the late 1940s and early 1950s. These items often bear the distinctive mark “Occupied Japan” or “Made in Occupied Japan” as a testament to their origin during this historical period of 1947 to 1952

The reason why the Popeye was so expensive is the commercials for the gumball heads on Saturday Morning, the kid at the end of the commercial says "Thanks for the gum ball Popeye!!" as he pops it into his mouth. Well thats my 5 year olds memory, might be wrong. If you were older, you would have said it out loud the second you saw it because its impossible to see that and not say it. Of course, i said it out loud when I saw you pick it up.

After WWII, the US Occupied Japan from about 1945 until 1952. Items stamped with Occupied Japan are supposedly a little more valuable because of the occupation.

What occupied Japan is, is the time period that the US occupied Japan after WWII. So that's about 1945-1952, and these items are all stamped occupied Japan and because the US was only there a short time occupying it. These things are a little more collectible because of the occupation.

Occupied Japan” refers to the years 1945 through 1951 when western forces occupied Japan. Imperial Japan surrendered to the Allied Forces of Great Britain, China, the Soviet Union and the United States in 1945.

Occupied Japan is Japan after the war when the United States occupied the islands They were forced by the treaty to put occupied Japan on everything they made.. This went on to the mid-50s

Only buy a laptop if there's a password from the seller... I use a very basic one and tell the buyer to change it immediately because it's something an idiot would put on his luggage...😹😹😹
