Can you test this to see if it works when the internet is down? Specifically you would need to connect both the phone and the device to the same WiFi router and disable the internet and see if it works just over local WiFi without the cloud.
There's only one reason for me to use an app to open my garage door, and that is that the regular controller can be hacked and cloned. Well, it turns out that the MyQ Chamberlain is activated through a SmprtPhone App, but it opens the garage using a regular radio signal that can also be cloned. So, no use for me. There should be an option to hard-wire it.
It's hard to believe they say this product supports Alexa integration. Wouldnt you think there would be a MyQ skill in Alexa? Why all the nonsense of subscribing to ITTT/other with all the complexity?
How do you connect a second garage door? I'm guessing you need another sensor? Will you need another head unit bring thingy too? Or just another sensor?
