Life tip: whenever you go to any place that has mirrors, especially hotels/motels/public bathrooms, ALWAYS check the mirrors for hidden cameras. The way it's portrayed in game isn't always accurate. The camera can be very small. The way I check is I put my fingernail against the mirror and if there IS a space, it's safe. If there's NO space, it's not safe. Always remember "no space, leave this place"

So the story is that the girl was sexually abused by her mom’s friends, and Dylan was her brother who was a troublemaker and was punished by being put in the closet. Carol burned the house down and Dylan was badly injured. When they met their new parents, Dylan experienced even more abuse and was forced to eat human flesh, making him the kid in the diaries, and the ‘new home’ Dylan and Carol go to ends up being the same home Dylan stays in and kills victims in forever himself. Dylan eventually kidnaps and tries to kill Carol at the same home.

Mr shiny literally gave me the absolute chills from head to spine..

Coryxkenshin has to be one of the most quick thinking and tenacious let’s players that I’ve watched. It seems like every game he plays, he always gets some of the best, or at least the good, endings, and even if things happen that make him have to restart sections at pivotal/far moments of the game, he still takes that time to redo them, which is honestly insane. Truly shows some gaming skills.

So from what I could tell, Dylan, Carol's brother, was indeed the killer. We can see that they were brought to a different family after their house burned down, which probably was done by Carol to get revenge at her mom for wanting to sell her. The new house they are taken to looks like the house older Dylan (the killer) was living in, you can see the mill and little oil storage thingy in the background of the flashback, as well as when Susan arrives there. If we take the fact that there are notes and items from a child to be found into account, we can assume that they were left by either Dylan or Carol. Considering Carol has remained a normal person, we can say they might be from Dylan. If my theory about this game is correct, Dylan and Carol were taken to a new home, Carol somehow left or escaped, maybe considering she never wanted a new family? Her side doesn't seem to be confirmed anywhere. Dylan stayed and was apparently fed human flesh by the new father and got used to "hunting" humans and their flesh. He grew up with these role models, let's assume the father died of old age or something (his body wasn't found in the house) and Dylan became a murderer, either eventually wanting revenge on Carol, or fate let him meet her at the motel.
