Here's a tip from a fellow speedrunner: The closer your hammer is, the more grip you will have. The further it is, the more likely you will slip. This will help you get up steep slopes, like the one your struggling in right now. You will need this, trust me.

Hey Ryan. Love your videos. One thing, watch the pointer when you move. The pointer will go back to the hammer head after you move. So you are fighting this action from the game. The less you move the mouse, the better. This is a tricky mechanic of the game.
