Raw eggs? About one in twenty thousand eggs is thought to be contaminated with Salmonella. And while I don't recommend eating raw eggs, if you do - the chances of getting sick are pretty low on an egg by egg basis.

The ice cream turned frothy like that because store brand manufacturers add air while churning it, which adds volume and making it appear to have more in the container. Once it melts, all that air is escaping and turns the ice cream frothy. Then, once it re-freezes the lack of air changes the density and appearance of the ice cream. That’s why expensive or premium brands are more dense and creamy.
