I lived in China and taught English in 2013 after finishing my undergrad… was blessed to be able to attend a rural Chinese wedding and that is spot on accurate. I love the random customs they have. Also lotsssss of baiju, old Chinese men trying to out drink the white guy, and firecrackers. So much fun :)
I've travelled across China a number of times over 2 decades and I've never seen anything like this before... Goes to show just how large the country really is

Honestly I cannot believe (s)he actually dared to stop recording before that avalanche hit. Stopping the recording was such a dangerous move. I'm glad nobody was injured.
I feel like he is lying when he says no one got hurt, one guy was completely out in the open and got engulfed in the avalanche. Those could have very well been his last moments.
I got married in China in some remote town with a really small population. This never happened to me. I've attended and seen lots of Chinese weddings and none of them had a tradition like this. That is not a tradition in China, but a tradition in certain places in China and like someone said, it's not a random stranger.

It's practiced in very few places, hence, not a tradition in China. It's practiced in so few places in China that the vast majority of people living in China do not know about it. How is that a tradition in China? It would be something else if the narrator said it's a tradition practiced in some rural places in China, but instead, he said it's a tradition practiced in China. That's like saying cause most Texans carry guns, it's a tradition in the US.
@@baiqi44 i think its just being pedantic about something that can be interpreted in multiple ways. When people say "A tradition in America is celebrating saint patricks day" they understand that not literally 100% of the country celebrates it...
Because that is not the actual curve of the earth. From that altitude it would still look very flat but with a fish eye lense it distorts straight lines and makes them look curved.

It's not 'random strangers' who hold you back from walking away - it's family members and friends of the bride. The joke is that the groom needs to bribe them to let him marry the bride. This happens in MANY eastern cultures, including Persians and central Asian countries. In Persian cultures, the bride's sister even has an elaborate and specific dance she performs at the wedding ceremony where she keeps the knife away from the groom so he can't cut the wedding cake until he bribes her.
I'll need to check but i read that in 19th century France, in villages, their were also tradition with friends and family's also doing special thing. Their was also the part where the bride is being 'locked' in a hut with the bride's maids, while the husband and the boys chant outside and try to get in by claming poetry, bribing, singing, etc
honestly, it is common to have random strangers hold you back or block your way, and they usually ask for a little bit of money or a pack of cigarettes, (if a bunch of kids come to you, you can get rid of them by giving away some packs of candy), especially if you are getting married in villages or rural area in China. It is part of the "joke"
Not in this case, no one wear cloths like that to formal events, especially in a wedding, because chinese people or asians in general tend to "save face" in front of relatives. So... the one who's holding groom's leg is more or less a living trashcan.
Was married in China. Traditionally it’s friends of the bride that try to block the groom from taking her to the wedding and he has to bribe them in order to let him take her away. More notes on Chinese weddings: it’s the groom that normally pays for the wedding, not the father of the bride or the bride. Also, you’ll be married long before the ceremony in a local government office where they give to your marriage license, take a photo and sell you a commemorative box with a couple of souvenirs coins… Wedding photos are also done months before as well. EDIT: Wow… Thanks for the likes. Forgot to add that there are generally no gifts given to the married couple. Mostly people give cash. Since 8 is a lucky number, you normally get 888 or 8888 yuan off most people. In the end all the money spent on the wedding is made back plus more and they generally use that money to help pay for things like a honeymoon.

As a drone nerd who loves doing time lapses, that last clip did things to me. Edit: Drones can't go to space you goofballs. This clip was from a balloon. A drone can film the same kind of footage at a way lower altitude however.
I’m gonna be honest, I get pretty tense when I don’t fully watch a video. Not sure why, but what I like about this guy is that he always puts a video as his almost-outro and his outro isn’t that long. Shoutout to this guy!
Don’t use videos like this to try and convince them though, because that curvature is down to the fisheye lens being used. If that was the _actual_ curvature of the earth then our planet would be about 100x smaller than it actually is.

@@XCHDragox115 These scanners - if they are the same as other palm scanners - actually don't read your skin so much as your blood vessels. Handprints - with some effort - can be duplicated. Blood vessels are more unique than prints (as they form entirely randomly within the body during development) and are a lot harder to duplicate.

@@seriously_aesthetic No they're not dead, just fainted. it's a breed trait for myotonic (fainting) goats. When they're scared they drop down with stiff legs. They don't actually faint, their muscles lock up and the drop to their sides, and the legs lock up. It takes a few seconds for them to relax and get back up.

I definitely laughed at the fainting goats. They are so overly dramatic. Felt for the UPS driver though. All of these clips are awesome. I loved every single one of them.
Wow, I had no Idea they did that. I thought it was either something like that or they may've all simultaneously had heart attacks (although almost impossible). Maybe they were trying to get insurance money from UPS 'cause they like the taste. (8/Oct/2022-1:27am🇦🇺EST)
They're not being dramatic and they don't actually lose consciousness. It's a genetic condition causing them to tense up their muscles for a few moments.

I really liked that outro clip. For some reason its so hard to really imagine the ascent from ground level to space and these kinds of videos really help tell what its like to see that difference in motion.
