My pastor tells us (his congregation) do not solely listen to him, he says to go home and read the word ourselves. His sermons come directly from the Bible every week. We are to bring our bibles every week, he teaches us to circle, write notes, study word definitions. Praise The Lord!

Many years ago I was a junior pastor in a N.A.R church. Corey, this is very timely. I've been running into others that are coming against the Bible. Specifically Catholics that are opposed to Sola Scriptura and rely on "traditions". They raise tradition of the early church fathers to the same authority of scriptures. But Jesus spoke against putting man made traditions above the word of God.
The Catholics hi jacked Peter's ministry 200+ years after his ministry fell and diminished (Romans 11:11-12). Acts 15:11 (which was 17 years after Paul was converted), Peter said that now Jews have to be saved the same way we are saved:by Grace through faith. It's the last we hear from Peter in the Book of Acts. Paul's ministry is still going today.

There are many false ministers in the world, and people are taking it in as gospel. That is sad . People need to read and study God's word for themselves and get in a solid bibical teaching church that will help them to grow in the correct way spirituality .

There is no calculus in there, for example, but it missing calculus doesn't make it not enough. Calculus won't save your soul, nor will it bring you closer to God or help you understand the history of how salvation went from Jews only to also gentiles. So it's not in there. I do believe that there are things that we don't know about the supernatural world, and sometimes I wonder about all these spiritual warfare books, manuals, etc. I just try to stay with the bible because it does instruct us not to go beyond what is written, so I just stick with that.

This is amazing! We're witnessing a current Bible prophecy coming to pass. 1 Timothy 4 describes how many will fall away from sound doctrine giving in to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons. This is exactly what's going on in the churches. A close friend of mine revealed to me months ago that he no longer believes in the Bible but is convinced in old Pagan beliefs as the original source of God's message to humanity.

I'm amazed at how many people are willing and ready to sully the Holy Word of the Most High God! All this in the name of contemporizing it for our times. We seem to "forget" that the way into Heaven is meant to be a difficult one! And that the gate is meant to be narrow! Introducing stumbling blocks into the Scriptures, in the name of fresh revelation, to submit one's "principles" to the whims of the times, is a sign of lack of faith. This means that these people, and those who listen to them and agree by their belief, have no faith. We do not have a common faith with them. For our common faith is not a permissive and self-aggrandizing faith, but a restrictive and self-abasing faith, that all glory and honor be rightly rendered unto our Heavenly Father! These lies these men and women tell themselves and others are despicable.
Adding to the scriptures is the foundation of Pentecostalism in all its forms. Ironically, adding to scriptures is also the foundation of Catholicism and Progressivism.

They are leading people away from God and to them. I have never heard such, they are deceived and they are deceiving others - hence we need channels like this to illuminate this madness and snatch ppl out of the fire.

I'll add, these false teachers tend to prop themselves up as the sole or primary person in which God are revealing these extra revelations to, many in the congregation are deceived by this and they tend to follow more so the false teacher than God himself, it starts to become cult like behavior.

It is obvious that this is the beginning or training of new cults, people have forgotten Jim Jones, David Koresh, Carlton Pearson and so many more. The sad part is that many sitting in the pews rarely read, study, or research or ask the Holy Spirit for direction.
She's not wrong about the first part of what she's saying!! Does anyone really believe that God can't give you deeper insight into what the scriptures are saying??? That once you've read a scripture, that's all it's saying,all done, that's all there is to it??? You need a closer walk and fellowship with the Lord if you truly believe that! There's a reason you can preach many different messages through 1 scripture! God's word is alive, not dead, so it speaks even now and gives deeper insight into the meaning! Now, if what they're saying leads to sin, that's different, but don't take this, not saying more than the scriptures say text out of context! That's for when you twist or try to make the scriptures say something different, not for giving further and deeper insight into what the scriptures saying,that might not have been clear to you before! There's a big difference!!!
