Brother what translation he told video is same or different. Is that duaa Meaning in video and you told is same. If different Plz tell if you know duaa when we go or leave a gathering where talk was garbage like backbiting or some other worldy things I found a duaa in a video but before learning it throughly. I lost that video. The Duaa in video was if we attain such meeting Than reading the Duaa We do not get any Gunah (Bad deeds) . And you know we have sometime no chance but to stay with them. Importance Duaa. Please Anybody tell If you Know. Jazakallah Khair Assalmoalikum Wa Rhamatullahe Wa Barkatahu 💖👑☝

Dua at the end of a Gathering/Majlis to expiate any possible sins from gathering: سُبْحـانَكَ اللّهُـمَّ وَبِحَمدِك، أَشْهَـدُ أَنْ لا إِلهَ إِلاّ أَنْتَ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتوبُ إِلَـيْك Subhaanak Allaah-humma wa biham-dik, ash-hadu al-laa ilaaha il-laa Ant, as-tagh-fir-uka wa atoobu ilayk. Meaning: Glory is to You, O Allah, and praise is to You. I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but You. I seek Your forgiveness and repent to You. Abu Dawud: 4859

Yes I heard this from a profound speaker in our area and he said when we ever leave a gathering, if we were to stop and think about the contents of that gathering, it is extremely unlikely that we did not partake in backbiting. Hence not only should we pray the dua but we should stop the backbiting in it's entirety

@@mo_c3612 Yes, but even if I’m not contributing to the gossip, remaining silent about it is extremely coward and displeases Allah swt for sure, so I’m still trying to find ways to communicate that I don’t want to be exposed to gossip or sucked into it without sounding self-righteous. I genuinly feel emotionally drained when someone gossips about someone else with me and I have to find ways to escape the convo, I feel cowardly, I should be able to mention with respect that I choose to not take part in gossip but again the other person isn’t always aware that what they’re doing is gossip😩😩😩😩…………

I understand where you're coming from and granted its a difficult situation, However, if you're not able to at least mention to whoever's speaking to you that it's not right (not sure if it's makrooh or haraam) then change the subject over and over again, take command of the conversation and if they do clock on then excuse yourself from that convo. Also, if you can speak privately to the person who's backbiting then advise them, remind them and quote the ayah in surat الحجرات ayah number 12 which speaks about this directly. Lastly, if this is continuous and your circle keeps doing this then look for better company إن شاء الله May Allah swt make it easy for you, and us Ameen ya rab.

Glory be to Thee. O Allah, and I begin with praise of Thee, I testify that there is no god but Thou; I ask Thy pardon, and return to Thee in repentance. The man asked: Messenger of Allah! you utter the words now which you did not do in the past? He replied: (This is an) atonement for what takes place in the assembly. I have the habit to say "May Allah help you" الله يعاونك or كيعاون ربي. In Amazigh when I leave a gathering. It's pretty commun in Morocco.
