The biggest name in League Of Legends, a Korean player, who's called the best since like 10 years now, is Faker. He never, ever plays with any skins in the game to show the people, that you don't need to pay money to be a good player. A little funfact is, that he even got 3 Skins named after him, in the game, because every time you win the Worlds (championship) you get a skin, which represents you! And he's not even picking them ever!
@@nekominorinya2569 I think he did play like 4 times or so, in his whole career. Once was in a tournament, where he didn't locked the champ, but a crew-stage-person or so. Not sure about it. And I think there were showmaches, where he actually "had to" play his own skin
I feel him i get tired of knvives so i sell and buy stuff all the time. Thats why i will never buy gloves. I will start changing 2 things instead of 1 every week
to be honest the non-skin weapons often look very cool. i've just applied a Half-Life sticker to my default AWP, and i like it a lot personally. doesnt matter the sticker is inexpensive, and i can't even sell it, i like how it looks and that's it. also if i could afford it, i'd definitely get a vanilla knife, they just look better for me, compared to some art designs. another + is, they are all 0.0 float. no extra scratches or anything, just pure nice. (well, doesnt apply to some weapons like the famas, but definitely to others like the AWP) and when i get skins, i like the "clean" ones (i mean patterns that are not art), like the Elite 1.6 Berettas, the O.S.I.P.R. M249, and maybe Decommisioned Famas, etc. (and every stock weapon + vanilla knives) basically i think the "art" designs, while cool looking, don't fit my style, and it's probably the same for that dude. i want a gun, that looks like a gun lol
Are skins really a money-sink? You buy them, play with them, then just sell them. I didn't think I would have a more expensive inventory than such a high-tier pro player.
@@fatjack9460 I opened some cases, got a knife, then just never opened them ever again, and then I got into skins and found out that steam market is a fucking scam, and now I don't ever lose money on skins because I just just sell.
I used to do the same and have renamed default knives and TSM 2015 holo’s on some like ak and deagle, i kinda like that i can never trade them Because i wouldve sold that sticker long ago now its 85 euros
Feel the same way about skins as I do clothes , if you don't love it then you're gonna get sick of them pretty quickly . Also helps to have pieces that work well together , not going to get rid of X because it goes with y and z too hard
Gj Eliege, I think the same- I like some skins and after a week I sell them to buy others that I like now and this was more than a year. Now I have 200 euro inventory for months and I stopped looking at skins. More than 10k euro wasted in a year
One of my favorite skins is my m4a1s default with ibp holo. Not the stupid expensive one but they do go for like 150-200 USD now. It looks super clean and it's nice not having the same m4 as everyone else.
This is something that I never understood. Pro players, especially in some of the less known teams who don't make that much money with inventories that cost thousands and thousands of dollars.
I have a similar thing but instead of vanilla knives i have safari mesh because its the cheapest on average and because its funny. Also shit skins with katos is something i also like. I have a 3x faded zebra. VP, Dignitas and complexity
Yeah I am not a fan of the flashy colors stuff, my knives are all vanilla but I do rock gloves but basic gloves ct side forest ddpat gloves w/ two times agent and survival or nomad knife and on the t side smoke out gloves w/ number k agent and butterfly or stiletto knife pretty basic stuff
I don't agree that cs skins is a money sink. It's more like a savings account or closer to stocks that historically does really well. I'll gladly spend thousands on skins that I know will go up in a year or two
not a joke i didnt even knew about this dude and his vanila skins but i did the same thing with the cheapest v.p stickers and some most used guns like ak, m4a1-s, usp and awp :P
i was thinking the same lol, i was thinking to just buy a holo/glitter sticker. Someting flasy and cool. And put them to all my default weapon. But yes. I hesitate, because they will cannot be sold again. I'm afraid I'll become addicted to skins. Pray for me
I have a bunch of old stickers on default skins going all the way back to cluj napoca 2015. Definitely a double edged sword. Vanilla crafts look really good imo but they'll never be worth anything.
he has plenty of money to change his stickers. that being said, elige will never leave TL. they would never get rid of him and he wouldn't want out anyway, he just wants a change in roster from time to time.
Tbh it's weird that there aren't more people who dislike skins, especially flashy skins. I'm not saying I agree but it is supposed to be a semi realistic game about counter terrorists etc and guns with anime kittens on them don't really fit the theme, do they? There were no skins in 1.6 or source so I understand some people wanting to play with default skins and vanilla knives that also are pretty realistic.
