That would be a NO . I'm still pretty happy with my 1070 Strix , those cards just have one big problem . They are so good , anything reasonably priced is useless to upgrade to because the performance gain is just too small and anything that is worth upgrading to is unreasonably more expensive

For 2500€ (here in Germany) you could get this Build: geizhals.de/?cat=WL-1432792 I am on a Teamspeak for a German RU-vidr to recommend PCs to ppl who arent in to it. And it Happens all the Time that ppl say "Yeah but it hasnt RGB". Then i am like "You really want rather that Crappy Old Ford fiesta just because it has Optical benefits like a Spoiler, Neon lights and a good Radio instead of that Good newer Focus with more Horsepower and more room and better Seats and a bigger Trunk etc? Because thats what you sound like right now if you only have 800 Bucks and try to RGB it for 200 Bucks". Seriously, if you are under like 1500€, i wouldnt recommend any RGB Stuff except for an RGB stripe maybe.

Key phrase: "You could build ..." It's rather surprising how many wouldn't even think of doing so themselves. I built a computer/Plex server for barter with my electrician in exchange for he running Ethernet cabling thru my home. He's a master electrician; I couldn't do half of what he can do, has done, but he's technically challenged when it comes to using computers, let alone building one. It's crazy! So from the seller's point of view, I don't think it's over-priced. I bought my first PC from gateway in 1990, a 386-16 SX for $2500, and it was hardly top of the line and though I wouldn't pay that seller for that system, it doesn't seem so outrageous to me. But great video and very good points I'd not considered. Thanks!

I liked the break down on this one. Btw, fun fact, you said Toyota and my kind went "he means either a Corolla or a Camry" lol but great break down. I've been wanting to ask and ya kinda mentioned it here near the end but labor, what's your vote on that charge? I've built my own, tell friends or people I talk to I'd build theirs if they buy the parts, simple as that. In my estimation, if I was to even charge to build, I would think 2-250 is about as fair and top as I would think you could charge labor. Even that seems high unless that involved price shopping the build, getting the ideas they wanted all in one, picking up parts (if at the store local), etc...but I was curious as I don't think I've heard ya throw what ya think it should be? I mean, the systems ya pull arent like super custom or anything so of course I'm saying average joe for these builds price. Either way, great vid and great ways to keep people informed about their purchases.

Most of my parts are used so I just find the model of the part an input the price manually for exactly what I paid for it. My calculation in $1850 AUD (I'm from down under) - $1300 USD at best for the parts alone, with possibly another $50 - 100 for the actual putting it all together, so looking at $1300 USD to start but not budging over $1400.

you can build that pc in my country with same specs for 800$. except for psu would be bronze+ not gold+ and that motherboard would be x470 as it should be considering its a ryzen 2600. idk why people love investing in parts which doesnt really matter

There's nothing wrong with shiny fans and LED strips, but they're purely aesthetic, and I'd buy them only if I were looking to complement my build in the future. I don't get it why people think their used build is worth the MSRP. Also, word of advice: Corsair warranty is technically non-transferable, it's meant only for the original buyer, good luck trying to RMA something without the receipts.

I just upgraded my pc from i5 4460 to i7 4790k and from my gtx 970 to 1070. Really happy about the choice so far, but curious what others here think about it. Paid around 330 usd for both parts :)

Another reason not to buy someone else's mouse and keyboard are that these things are very much a matter of personal preference. I have four keyboards and seven mice that I use, I can't remember how many HIDs I've tried over the years to end up with eleven that are satisfactory, but using whatever HIDs come with a computer is like buying some shoes that are described only as "shoes' and trying to make do with them.

My R9 3900x with 32GB of G.Skill Trident Z 3200 with an RTX 2070 Asus ROG Strix and Asus 450 board with new parts didnt even come close to being as expensive as that guys asking price. That was a skilled builder using shady tactics for a quick buck.

You ain't bullshitting, I've seen too many people charge brand new or above for their used systems, even seem some flipping optiplex builds for $200 - $300 labor to "build". I'd charge someone $75 to build a pc, more if they want me to install software and drivers / updates, etc.

I'd imagine some simmers, on a tight budget, might go for a "cheap" 1080p 60Hz 3 monitor setup.

Trim the fat indeed ... My nephew gave me a $2400 budget build. I told him save his case, 850w power supply, ssd, hdd, mouse and keyboard. With that $2400 budget I got him a 3900x, Auros Master x570, EVGA 2080Ti, 32gb Trident memory 3600 C16 and a Samsung 500gb nvme. As a bonus, I told him I'm gonna use my Amazon Chase credit card that gives 5% cash back. With that 5% cash back, I got him a 1tb nvme. Lean & mean ... trim the fat indeed.

The problem with used tech is people want to sell it as brand new. People don't understand that tech is just like buying a car. Once it leaves the lot, its resale value drops instantly and most of the time, by 1/4 its original value.

I found that the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 with a GTX 285 are excellent value for the money on a budget build although that hardware would have been high end in 2008 when Windows Vista was the latest and greatest operating system. What would that seller say if you requested him to install Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit instead of Windows 10?

So I have a bunch of nephews and there all under 13 years old, most are under 6... I wanted to prepare them for success by gathering material on computer literacy and i wanted to build a computer with them that we could all use for blockchain node interface, programming, and video/graphics editing along with learning about Open source stuff like Linux. Could you do a video on some of those points? The blockchain im interested in showing the older ones is Cardano.
