you don't need to do it over the flame. Honestly you can the exact same effect just roasting them on high heat.

@@milanosrp Sure but roasting them in the pan takes marginally more time and creates an extra dish.

@@Two-ToneMoonStone It takes more time but you don't have to work over an open flame. It's much easier to stick them in the oven and forget about them while you chop your other vegetables.

@@milanosrp yeah but you can accomplish the same thing, much quicker, by roasting them over the flame and then cutting the veggies while letting the peppers steam and the tomatoes cool.

@@Two-ToneMoonStone lmao you can do what you want obvi, I just find it much easier to roast them in the oven for 20 minutes without having to worry about them blistering evenly and turning them constantly. Especially when you need three (or more) peppers. I suspect newbies like the OTV crew would find the same. And honestly, unless you just have one pepper, once you have all of your peppers blistered, wrapped in foil, and steamed, it's going to take exactly the same amount of time if not longer than just cutting them in half and putting them on a foil-lined pan on high heat for 20-30 min.
