The hardest truth for me was learning no amount of beauty, confidence, self work, or reflection will absolve you from being hurt or betrayed in love. The unfortunate part is as women there will always be men out there lying, living double lives, not in therapy, whose goal is to manipulate and hurt you. To love is to take on a huge risk. Discernment is important, but remember it's not fool proof. The biggest thing is knowing your worth so that when your boundaries are disrespected you're able to walk away. Doesn't make it any easier or less painful tho.

Girl amen. I was dating a guy for 7 months who I knew was not my dream man. Also he kept stalling to officially be in a relationship. I prayed daily (🤭) that I will meet my dream man because I love myself and I knew I deserved a fabulous relationship . I met my dream man 3 weeks before my old dude dipped. That was a blessing in disgue. Currently in my longest, healthiest, MOST FUN (this is important) relationship yet!

The text was giving attention seeking vibes as if he was trying to randomly steal my joy. I used to contradict myself so much. I really thought "my relationship is great" even though it wasn't. Don't lie to yourself. Just because you haven't argued for a couple weeks, that doesn't mean they're a good partner. My self esteem was so low I didn't even consider a good man was out there for me.
