Liam didnt suggest the "So Sally can wait..." bit deliberately, Noel was playing it and Liam was in the next room, at this point Noel hadnt finished writing the lyrics and was just mumbling along with the melody, Liam came in and said "Who's Sally?" Noel was confused... "That is what you were singing isnt it?" It wasn't, but Noel liked it and it stuck.

Sorry to disappoint but this isn't a demo version. This is taken from an acoustic performance (03/10/1995). Cast No Shadow on that album is also from that same session.

This is from a BBC Radio 1 session - the Simon Mayo show 3/10/95. I have this and Cast No Shadow along with this interview I recorded off the radio on to cassette at the time.

His head really was with lennon bootlegs writing this, the opening could be lennon's watching the wheels accoustic demo 1980. It just show's when you have some inspiration and belief how one great song or song's can spawn more great songs, like this.

There was no demo, apparently the first time he played it was at Sheffield Arena when it wasn't quite finished. Liam helped him finish the words!

Noel stated in some interview that they haven't made any demos for What's The Story. The whole hype and craziness around the band... They went it to the studio and recorded what Noel played them on the back of the tour bus:P. Anyway, it would be great to hear a decent sounding version on Champagne Supernova with Noel on vocals!
