Omg, yes! People gave Anne so much flack back then, but it was her daughter that rebuilt England after all the chaos from her father, brother, & sister's reigns combined! Sure, Mary may have laid the groundwork, but she wanted a Catholic England, nothing else would suffice. Elizabeth took what was there & was able to find a middle ground so that both sides of the religious divide could practice their beliefs in peace. Anne may not have been the Queen England wanted, but she was still the mother England needed. 💚
Also, out of the three kids that Henry had, she had the worst deal. One of them was since her mother was accused of being a witch, it was implied that she was a witch too.
Ezel Francisco Mary and her had it tied,Mary, after her fathers divorce with her mother, was neglected by her father. She wanted revenge, she brought the killing of Lady Jane Grey, and ruled with an iron fist. Burned people to the stake and killed, just because she wanted revenge for her mother,as her title was token away after 24 years of marriage.
Henry: *sleeps with other women* wife: *sleeps with other men for revenge* Henry: hEy ThAt WaS rOoD (idk if this was original. I doubt it. Pls don’t come for me)
And the cruelest irony is that she never cheated on him, he lied so he could divorce or execute her; she chose execution so Elizabeth wouldn't be considered a bastard child.
I love that Katharine got to slap Anne! Yes, they were all tragic Ladys, but lets be Real : Anne was a homewraker and she would have gotten the same treatment in modern Times. (the slap, not the Exekution!)
I can see Wearing yellow to a funeral scene. When Anne sings "Catherine was a massive-" I can see Catherine of Aragon getting pissed being all like "Girl, I smacked you once, I'm gonna smack you again, this time to kingdom come!"
In Anne’s defence she was used as a pawn by her father, and back then especially if you were a woman you had to listen to what men usually more important than you were telling you to do. Anne was also planning on secretly marrying another before she caught the eye of henry but the marriage was not supported, imagine if she had huh? There was also some rumours that henry wanted to divorce Katharine before Anne came on the scene. Also in fairness back then you would want some stability, knowing that his marriage with Katharine was rocky, you wouldn’t want to be a mistress that got knocked up with an illegitimate child, you would want some stability in being his wife and have a legitimate child, so it was an opportunity above all. I agree tho that it’s wrong but it was a different time when women were pawns and when the king said he wanted to marry you then you had no choice. Anne was a human who made mistakes but i agree execution was not justified especially if the allocations against you were false. I think Katharine slapping Anne for all the shit she had to to through would be justified but gotta look at it from Anne’s perspective too! because i believe she was a victim too. So in modern times i think henry would have divorced Katharine way before Anne then pursued her. However all this being said i think Katharine was still treated so shitty and deserved better as well!
In Anne defence, Henry already planned the divorce on Aragon becouse he was interested in a French princess. So duh, it's not Her fault. Also she was manipolated.
This is definitely very different and creative! I've never seen someone attempt this type of an animatic before, especially with all the color, added sounds and so many different character designs. I think maybe you could work on toning it down just a bit? Sometimes there was almost too much happening at once to focus on the story you were trying to tell. Also sometimes a detailed background can be too distracting as well. That's just my thoughts. Otherwise good job!
_Babes...this is just...WONDERFUL ! I can not get enough of this ! This is a much different style than I've ever seen before and I appreciate the hard work you've put in it. Infinity out of 10, lovely !_
I swear if one word could be used to describe Catherine and Anne's situation it would be irony. Because Anne thought she was so much better than Catherine when in truth they were a lot alike. Both were previously involved with another man before marrying Henry (Catherine married his brother first while Anne was briefly engaged/or having an affair with Henry Percy), both were pushed to marry him by their fathers (Although Catherine's father did it more out of love and thought for his daughter's well being while Anne's was just a power hungry social climber) both suffered miscarriages and only delivered one healthy child which was born a daughter, and both were in the end discarded by their husband Henry albeit they were discarded in different ways. The only really big difference between these two women in regards to their history with King Henry was how they went about rejection and infidelity. Catherine no doubt was hurt by her husband's adulterous nature but she was smart enough to realize that in the time period she lived in, a woman should never scold or berate her husband especially if he was high in rank. She also did not make a big scene about it because she was a queen and a queen is always dignified, respectful, graceful. She serves her people and does not allow them to see if she is angry or hurt because as a monarch she is a symbol of strength and wisdom to her people which in turn earned their respect and devotion. Probably why Henry didn't cut off her head because she was so adored and respected by his people. This behavior applied even when Henry divorced her. Yes she voiced her contempt and hurt but she did so in a dignified manner. And even though her husband spurned her cruelly and unjustily, she would forever be loved and seen as a true queen even after death. Anne on the other hand was more arrogant and prideful. She thought that she should have been seen as Henry's equal which unfortunately was a dangerous way of thinking back then. She wasn't really discreet about how she felt about Henry's philandering ways and didn't take it in a dignified way which probably made her come off as spoiled and whiny to her people. This was especially unwise considering that England pretty much hated her already. She probably didn't understand her position as well as Catherine did because unlike her, Anne was not royal by birth therefore she was not trained and schooled in the ways of being a proper queen. In fact I think the only thing her family schooled her on was the benefits of being queen and not the burdens. So she lost her head but left behind a daughter who would prove to succeed where she failed.
Yet another amazing animatic! Slightly different from CoA one so it was surprising (STILL GREAT) . I LOVE the addition of the voices for characters! Great work !
Nice. I love how you used her head as the O in LOL. Holy shit! You added sound effect! And you stopped the song before she said, "head" ! Fucking brilliant! Ima watch it again!
The part that went by really fast with Elizabeth on top it said married to England just so you guys know because it’s pretty hard to land on the perfect spot to see what it says
During 3:41,if u pause it u see lizzy having her arms wide and there is a text saying MARRIED TO ENGLAND Which is what Elizabeth I said during her reign I really like lizzy being in don't lose ur head animatics! Sorry for being years late😭😭😭😭
@Dylan Stanford ohh okay. But, ya gotta admit, anne of cleves twerking is a bit much. But thanks for the perspective! I actually liked the open mindedness in all you wanna do a lot. Did mute in those scenes though lol
