Thanks for the tips. I never thought about setting on camera audio from stereo to mono (but usually record VO in mono). I'll consider that in future workflows.
excellent tutorial. If I may make one suggestion, I would either remove or put the background music much lower, it really distracts me from the voice. I listen in 1.25 speed and then the music is even more annoying. I learned from several of your videos, the EQ, mono stereo etc.
Can you make a video for audio in documentary? When I listen to Videos of Larry Jordan where the full bass voice is so dominant I think such bass voices cannot be used in documentaries though Larry's voice sounds nice.
can we actually assign which channel a mono track will use? When I put a mono track into my editor (Premiere), it doesn't say whether its gonna use L or R.
Yep you definitely can! I’m not super familiar with Premiere, but it’s something like: Right click the clip, select either “modify clip” or “audio channels” I think it’s called. In there you should be able to set the clip to mono, and select either L or R
@@peterkertesz2861 ah, gotcha! Yup, you’ll still hear a mono signal out both ears, but it’ll be an identical signal going to each side. If the dialogue signal itself was stereo then there’d be differences between each side, which would make it feel imbalanced between your headphones, or like it was moving around
