I couldn't agree more with Russ' take on the fancy auctions - they are where to look for lower tier keys. I grabbed a Venom: Sinner Takes All 3 (9.8), a Vengeance of Bane 1 (9.6) and a Red Hulk Hulk 1 (9.6) for £55 each at the last one non-eBay auction I tried. Those are high grade raw prices if you're lucky.
I’ve gotten back to comic book collecting in 2022 after the pandemic bubble and noticed pricing can really differentiate for the same book. I try to spend the least amount of money on this hobby as possible from digging through $1 bins and going to warehouse sales for really good deals. I’ve seen the same dealer throw books in their $1 bins which I picked up then see the same book at their shop selling for $10.
Until they are all purchased and held for GW Bridge to be confirmed as well as XForce movies...with the Deadpool Card is an absolute steal right now but any bagged copy should be grabbed if the price is reasonable (under $10 which I doubt it will be for very long).
I picked up another raw Hulk #1 for $99 I have had 4 9.8’s & when I let them go I called them keepers,It’s an extremely cool cover! I will be sending the newest pickup in after a press,looking for that 9.9 😁
If you watched the new season of Golden Auctions...they actually are helping sell off a HUGE CGC collection of slabs and a good portion are signed. Including books signed by Stan Lee! Maybe the Hulk #1 was a signature series?
Is X Force #1 more valuable unsealed with a deadpool card ? When graded it comes out of the pollybag, and what happens to the card. I can't find info on how this gets graded.
Interesting to see the FF #186 with Salem's Seven but it is preceded by FF #185 which has Agatha on the cover and leads into #186. There is also Kurt Busiek's letter to the editor in FF #186. It's also nice to see X-Factor coming up. I've got two copies with the Deadpool rookie card. I wonder if there's any love for the second printing though. Thanks for posting. Best to all.
There is something going on with Goldin Auctions . There is a Deadpool #1 cgc 9.8 at auction and rising at 1700? ASM #161 cgc 9.6 rising at 1050? These are both 100-150 books Maybe they don’t ban non payers from their auctions? It’s fishy as Fook
I enjoyed John Carter! Happy to see those books on here since I have the run. It's a decent book and Dynamite's original John Carter run was great! People still seem to think the Deadpool card was inserted less than the other cards, but I think they were all evenly printed.
I dont know whete those low numbers for noir are coming from...cheapest ive seen it on ebay is about 250...u less theyre looking at the cheap cover...which i believe they are.
John Carter had the same unfortunate roll out as Dredd. They dropped the ball on advertising and release dates. PS. Would it be possible to cover some of the panel art of these hot books. More often than not, the panel art is lackluster and not as enticing. Of course I’m assuming some of us read these books.
John Carter was a great, they just really screwed up the advertising. They should have really pushed Woola more, what kid wouldn't want a dog like that?
I love the John Carter Movie it was amazing. I love wandavision and Agatha and I am super excited for the show. I really like the GW Bridge character Marvel seems to do well with less known Characters.
I've been recovering and re-learning to walk again over the past three years, and I've been wondering if Russ still had the Fiddy Bins because getting back into those bins has been a MAJOR motivation for me. So hearing Russ mention that he suggests people use Key Collector when looking through his FIFTY CENT BINS??? I had to watch the video twice because my first time through was clouded by HOPE! Thank you so much! I'll be elbow-deep in them bins in no time!

John Carter is a fine movie. If Disney had cast an actor like Josh Brolin as the lead, that movie would have been great. It just needed a lead that felt like he could kick ass.
