SHOUTOUT TIM!
This man is a thrifting maniac! I was able to meet up with him and hit some thrift stores in Utah and he just kept finding score after score! We hit around 12 stores all together and found about $4000 in profit between the 2 of us. Absolutely insane day of thrifting. I learned so much from Tim this day and I'm sure you guys will too. went thrifting for the first time and found 2 limited edition sold out t shirts for 3 bucks each. in 3 days i sold both shirts for $95 dollars. one for $65 and another for $30. and i only spent 7 bucks LOL thank you!

I have a bunch of 1 of a kind million year old rocks. Nobody wants them. Theres not a market for everything so do your research and stop trusting fake eBay sales. Everyone turns to eBay these days but most never research the sales, they just take it as truth.

Been doing that in SC for the last year, Coming down hitting some thrifts and dream deals then heading to Charleston to see family, they're still not even trying to do it. Just watch me in awe as I swoop in and find the deals. Also as a super packer, your packing was killing me! lol Utah seemed like a score!

Love Tims style he makes the big money because he goes for the big money items that people are scared to ship, if I was a full timer I would be doing the same thing as many $100-$500 items on my store as possible nice job Tim!

Exactly. What you rather do? Pack one big bulky item that makes you $80 or more or 3 pair of shoes that will net the same but you need to do 3 listings, pictures, description and packing to get the same profit.

@@darrenleaguecity Sure, that’s an option but you only have certain amount of time so if you have to chose I would not chose the shoes. The comment was also directed at other sellers are afraid of big bulky items (read Hairy Tornado) and Tim showed him recently how profitable those items can be. Besides I don’t like shoes in general since I don’t know who’s stinky feet they may have come from 😂.

Tim is something else, shipping on most of those items are going to be high & he isn’t scared of it lol sometimes I hold back on some items because buyers don’t want to pay $60-80 for shipping lol also you passed up on some good jays, carthart, and charger for a DSL camera ... that hurt a little lol

Awesome video. Tim was on point with parting some of those items out. I've always been concerned with using a used suitcase in the airport, lol just in case it has residue or whatever lol. I used one once and was sweating bullets lol. Most of our thrift stores have employees checking sold and pricing very close to what we could get out of them. Goodwill especially is very exspensive.

@@CaptFwiffo keep at it. List often, list older listings as "sell similar" then delete the old listing works good to get new exposure on older listings. I do this part time, and honestly would feel comfortable doing it as my full time job.

I just bought the risk game 40th anniversary from savers brand new for $30. Selling for over $300 on eBay!! Also found a game ps1 silent hill sold for $200. Love savers but it is a hit and miss sometimes.

Re: used vacuums- as a cleaning pro, unless I had personal knowledge of the household unit where it was used, and was assured otherwise, I’d pass. Those may easily have been used to clean up broken CFL (fluorescent bulbs), and have hazardous material (mercury) in them.

This guy is good! We have DI here in AZ, too. I waa there yesterday, and found a book binding machine (not as large an item as it sounds) for $15 that I'll get $60-$80 for. My best turn over was from a Goodwill. An older and rare CB Radio. I paid $19, sold via Craigslist for $600 to a collector on the opposite coast. He paid $120 in shipping as well.

Any honest way of making a living is a wonderful thing, but I have to admit that I hate the way resellers have caused the thrift stores in my area to hike prices! It seems that they think if YOU can sell if for five time what they sell it for, they can do it too, so prices are going up like crazy! We have tons of Goodwills that get tons of high end items donated, but most of the time the only people I run into shopping there are resellers because prices are too high, sometimes even higher than what the item sold for new in the store!!

It's cyclical. The store gets a new manager, he/she wonders why they can't charge more with all the resellers buying there, so they raise prices. The resellers stop buying and stock piles up, literally. They have to start sending pallets of stuff directly to the outlet store where it only brings $1.20/pound, and senior management tells them to lower their prices and MOVE THE STOCK. Prices come back down. Rinse and repeat. If you are in the business long enough, you will see it happen many times.

I have now found a local thrift store to frequent as my Goodwill was selling some items for more than their new price! Still a good idea to run through them once in a while as I still find an amazing deal now and then.

Josh. I’ve recently found & enjoy your channel & have watched a lot of your videos. I’ve enjoyed them. Your pleasant personable video “on air” is great and I think is one of the reason for your channel success. Hailey is great too. But after first watching probably 15 videos of yours then this older one with Tim had me cracking up. Stick an earbud box inside each shoe to maximize your packing. Roll up shirts, underwear, etc and stuff into shoes. Put some shoes in your carryon to maximize space and profit potential from this trip. Ooops, too late for these suggestions.

Everyone has their comfort picks. I never look at shoes, I don’t have enough room for giant items so I resell smalls. Thanks for sharing your time guys! Savers is expensive and goodwill is keeping anything of value now and selling online. They are squeezing us out here in New Mexico.

I buy stuff for me & when Goodwill discontinued jewelry in their store, I was sad. Won't buy online. Need to touch & try on. Also, in my area, they no longer will take furniture or large items starting Dec. 1. Wonder where these items will end up since Goodwill is not an option? St. Vincent de Paul is rather expensive on most items. Got to buy stuff on their sale tag days.

A lot of times those 200 disc CD players will have a few slots not work. They get returned a lot.

Already a fan of both of you previously. Tim is an absolute beast. I liked hearing about the printers. I have a few that I'm scared to sell but not sure how to test properly.

Inkjet printers especially...and possibly even worse if the previous user didn't use OEM but lower quality 3rd. party inks which could damage/ clog the printhead.
